< assesses that every day is kind of a Record Day when you do not sleep.

Re: The You Game!
< had recently acquired some new to < retro hardware for one of <'s old systems:
The Creative Sound Blaster 16 SCSI-2 (CT1770) and the Creative Wave Blaster (CT1900).
< will be very much interested in checking out the Wave Blaster especially later on.

Re: The You Game!
< sees it's definitely much older than the Sound Blaster < had.
< is convinced that it doesn't matter what time < sleeps at, and how long < sleeps for. < is just going to be tired all day and then somehow feel less tired as it gets closer to a time < should be sleeping at.

And here < thought < was the only one experiencing that!Steo wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 4:44 pm and then somehow feel less tired as it gets closer to a time < should be sleeping at.
Re: The You Game!
Kind of weird how it happens, especially since < sometimes keeps feeling tired in the mornings and wanting to sleep more. When < should be sleeping then, < stays up longer because < isn't tired.

While it's been on the rumour mill for a while, < wasn't expecting Valve to drop a new Steam Machine, Controller and VR Headset all at the same time:
Re: The You Game!
Steam machine?
< is winded. exhausted. But < is going to stream anyway.

Huh, that's interesting. < is sad to see that they're using LCD screens in the headset, rather than OLED.Master wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 7:48 pm While it's been on the rumour mill for a while, < wasn't expecting Valve to drop a new Steam Machine, Controller and VR Headset all at the same time:

< has to pick up <‘s sister from the airport tonight. Coincidentally, it’s at the same time as last week when < picked up <‘s mom.

Re: The You Game!
< is honestly considering getting the new steam machine, especially since < has been wanting to replace the Xbox series X < has. < has most of<'s games on Steam anyways, so switching would probably be the play for <.

Re: The You Game!
< would advise ^ to wait for pricing. From what <'s read and seen, it sounds like it'll be priced more as a PC than a Console, which means it'll likely be more expensive.
< is curious now though, the only VR headset < can think of that uses OLED is Apple's Vision Pro. < can't really think of another headset, though < admits < isn't too deeply versed in the VR space.
That did surprise < as well, < is curious as to what the pricing on this would be, considering the Valve Index was...obscenely expensive. < wonders if the use of LCDs implies a more budget-oriented approach...Reese Riverson wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 8:19 pm Huh, that's interesting. < is sad to see that they're using LCD screens in the headset, rather than OLED.

< wonders how early people start putting up Christmas decorations? At <'s, they only kind of go up in the middle of December. Some people seem to put them up as soon as Halloween ends. < knows a fair few people already have them up now for example.

Re: The You Game!
<'s been seeing Christmas decorations go up in shops even before Halloween had concluded. < isn't so sure in the domestic space though, < did notice one place had a very suspiciously shaped tree with halloween decor, so perhaps that will now be cleared to fit the upcoming season.
Re: The You Game!
It's interesting though. < understands people get pretty festive, but to actually start putting them up that early is a bit crazy to <. < gets putting them up towards the end of November maybe. There are Birthdays in the family here in early December though, which is partially why it's kind of postponed until afterwards too.

Re: The You Game!
To be fair, considering how shit things feel of late, even if <'s a bit cynical when it comes to the retail side of things, < doesn't really judge folks who want to kick off the Christmas period sooner rather than later.
That being said, <'s never really been one for pomp and ceremony so it's not something < has any strong inclination or interest towards doing personally, but < can appreciate the fun it brings to folks.

Re: The You Game!
< can kind of understand when people have young kids if they want to start celebrating so early, though < just knows that < isn't going to be doing this until it's at least nearly December. It's too early to start listening to Christmas songs and the likes, we will be hearing about it for a long time as is.
< does look forward to the Christmas ranks on here though, and of course, Christmas itself, just because of the festivity.
At the same time, < already can't wait until we pass the winter solstice, and the days start getting longer again. < made it so clear so many times, that aside from Christmas, < hates this time of year when it's cold and dark way before 5PM. < really likes long daylight.

Re: The You Game!
< has at least one idea for a Christmas rank this year. If a certain someone shows up this year, < hopes they like it.
< finally got home from the airport. <'s not really tired so <'s going to finish working on the VMs like < planned. Hopefully.

< puts the Christmas tree on December 1st.Steo wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 10:29 pm < wonders how early people start putting up Christmas decorations? (Except for this year because of <'s relocation. < won't put any decoration this year. Most of them are already packed anyway.)

Re: The You Game!
< will probably do so after Thanksgiving in the US, < in regards to Christmas decorations.
Re: The You Game!
< knows a few people who start putting them up by the time they even get the Halloween ones down, so < was just wondering.
