I don't use Google, so I don't know if it's something being done with other search engines as well?
At any rate, at least there's a known way to mitigate the matter. Will say though, I didn't realise we had the ability to use the new Vector skin, or is that just cause it's a default inclusion now for MediaWiki sites?

Sometimes, Google indexes both the desktop and mobile versions and if you click on the latter, this will change your default and you'll have to change it back like you did. Probably something I should look into!

Really? That definitely explains why my thing changes so much. I wish it could be the same with the mobile and desktop versions of the forums, the mobile PhpBbb sucks.

Yeah it really will. I always just used the desktop version even on mobile due to the fact that it only had the MediaWiki theme. I didn't like looking at it that way at all, it didn't even feel like RayWiki.

Incidentally, something that's bothered me for the longest period of time but I've never remembered to bring up, on the mobile skin, if you go on "Community Portal" on the sidebar it'll attempt to take you to a Wiki Page rather than the forums.

Incidentally, something that's bothered me for the longest period of time but I've never remembered to bring up, on the mobile skin, if you go on "Community Portal" on the sidebar it'll attempt to take you to a Wiki Page rather than the forums.

I've gone ahead and pushed a fix for this, since we want everyone to be able to not be blinded by that one.


And if anyone else sees any problems, please feel free to report them. It's really common for any MediaWiki update to break something style wise on both desktop and mobile versions of the side.

(Funny thing is, I had thought about seeing if you could help test things out Fifo, I really should have gone with my gut feeling you'd surely find something quickly. )

Indeed, especially with the surprises MediaWiki gives you. You think you took care of UI elements? Too bad, you have two entire UI system styles you have to style, even within the same page... one of them did it with radio buttons/toggle switches for example. - In this case I've already took care of pop up menu backgrounds for other things, but apparently the user preferences gets own styling.

Software update time? Always something that needs to be fixed after!

You'd be surprised how much you have to modify for something that looks so simple, though.

it’s because Humch hardcoded the link in MediaWiki:Sidebar, which only applies to the desktop site, instead of editing the aforementioned MediaWiki:Portal-url page, which the Minerva skin (and the desktop skins, if not modified in MediaWiki:Sidebar) refer to by default.

Aw gosh dang it we were so close, the mobile skin is so finicky about it! The desktop link still works fine but the mobile skin literally goes to https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Https://raymanpc.com damn MediaWiki and their hardcoding!
