I love it, it's exactly what I expected!

I love it, but I think the price is a bit excessive for what it is.

It's fine, although I'm not entirely convinced by the soundtrack.

It's okay, although I wouldn't have included the accessibility options (infinite lives, etc.).

I expected more from Ubisoft. They should have made some improvements, just like the fans did with Rayman Redemption.

Ugh you're reminding me now of one of those annoying unrealistic story-telling channels. The last one I heard was of a man being abused and guilt-tripped by his family for failing to help his mom, when said family didn't attend the man's daughter's birthday as promised. And subway surfers was being played throughout the story-telling. :tssk:

You mean the ones that take stories of Reddit, or at least they apparently do? You know it’ll be a ride when it starts with “My level 10 yacht sister” though!

I don't mean a remaster or even a direct remake of the original game, but a revival of the concept. Bring it back as a low effort UbiArt game for mobile platforms, using the countless assets already made for Legends, Adventures and Mini. Give it to schools as a fun tool to help with education. I think there might be some potential there.

(But the remake they're actually working on is either R1 or R2.)
Honestly, this isn't a bad suggestion, because it would be nice to have decent educational games again like we had back then. This is something I want to introduce my niece to, with the Rayman educational titles, along with a few I've had when I was little.

I know we just had a remake poll, so feel free to cast this aside. But I was watching this video and it made me wonder. What exactly would one want in a remake?

I bring this up because he mentions the distinction between going off and reinterpreting things versus the original artistic intent. And I think in light in the discourse relating to fan remakes it does make me wonder...how far would one want a remake to go from the original material?

Great, thanks! :mryellow:

I gave y'all the possibility to vote four of them. Not gonna lie, I had a lot of fun with these minigames and I felt a bit old remembering that Rayman 3 is +20 y.o.

I have a soft spot for the old educational games, but I don't know if I'd care much for a UbiArt remake of those...

Why though? :hap:

I never played those minigames much, I just found them way too hard. :oops2:

For some reason, I remember Sentinel the most, as I liked the idea of this Knaaren invasion (what are they doing in the mountains though?), so I'll vote for this one.

I like the 2D minigames because 'wow that's something I recognize!!'

Missile Command and Special Invaders are super fun to navigate, I especially love the environments in SI, Rayman 3 is such beautiful game.

Another potential poll suggestion that I just thought of, worst levels per game?

Yay, the first hate poll is here!

I gave you the opportunity to choose three different levels of Rayman 3 that you disliked. Any specific reason behind those hateful thoughts? Tell us about it

And ofc, the results of the last one.

Gonna be honest, the only reason I never beat Rayman 3 the one time I played it 5 years ago was because of The Desert of the Knaaren. Itfelt like suuuch a drag, the knaaren were just annoying to me, and Reflux's arena fight was agonizingly bad. Genuinely just made me give up on the game.

Now that's interesting, I actually rank the Reflux arena fight in Rayman 3 as one of my absolute favourite boss fights in the entire series, I enjoy the spectacle of it plus it's always keeping you on your toes. And you can't just hide on the side either or you'll be attacked, you have to keep head-on.

As for the question in the poll...I'm not so sure. I don't think there's any level I particularly dislike in Rayman 3, I suppose the level I don't have as much of an inclination to replay is probably a toss-up between The Longest Shortcut (it's a fun platforming gauntlet and a nice breather after DoTK, but I also kinda think you lose a bit of momentum), and Bog of Murk (nothing inherently wrong with the area, just not quite as big an impression to me, even though I do enjoy the Razoff fight).

I also remember the Reflux fight being an awesome battle when I first did it, but taking the entire Desert of the Knaaren into account, it's easily one of my least favorite areas in the game. I voted for that, the Longest Shortcut (it felt kind of unnecessary in the grand scheme of things), and the Tower of the Leptys (not a bad level, just my least favorite out of the ones that were left to vote for).

Come on, "The Longest Shortcut" is not even a level. It is basically a backdrop for sampling songs from the soundtrack.

Sounds like the Knaaren did make you write bad checks.
