Re: Rayman 3
Razoff's section is great but the journey there is such a slog
Re: Rayman 3
As someone who played Rayman 3 for scoring, the journey there was a living nightmare to say the very least.
The actual mansion though, I agree it was pretty cool. It's been some time since I've played though.

Re: Rayman 3
So I decided to replay Rayman 3 again, I've gone for the GCN version this time, and I've only just noticed some of the extra graphical effects such as lighting reflected in the wet rain, or droplets on the camera when it's raining in Lotld.
I'll have to open the PC version at some point for comparison, but I didn't realise there was visual touches to the GCN version outside of textures and model detail.

Re: Rayman 3
There's definitely no addition of the droplets on camera in the PC version, but now when you talk about the lighting reflection I can surely say that the light from various objects is reflected in the wet ground. I would have to pay attention to the lighting next time. I didn't even consider this to be a possibility before

Re: Rayman 3
Didn't know about the water droplets on the camera, that's pretty neat. Although I imagine that could get annoying if it's not subtle enough

Re: Rayman 3
I'd say it's about the same as how it is in Metroid Prime, a neat detail but unobtrusive.

Re: Rayman 3
Bit of bad news, my friends: Unfortunately while I was trying to figure out how to mod Mario Kart Wii, I did a dumb thing and moved some stuff around on my PC's file explorer, and my Rayman 3 save (as well as my Rayman Arena save, and other game saves) got corrupted (it got a .deleted extension). Luckily I did start a new one and I'm finally back where I should be, but lesson for you all: Don't do what I did and look at tutorials first. I had to delete the corrupted saves and start fresh, so oops...
