Rewatched The Shining in IMAX, absolutely insane experience. The picture and sound quality were top notch, I felt completely immersed, it made the movie feel extra freaky. The movie itself is also basically perfect so that's cool too.

Saw Zootopia 2, its pretty good. I didn't really like most of the newer characters, especially the snake, but the message and climax were pretty good. The messages of the movie were also pretty good, and the creativity of the movie is just as good as the last movie! Overall the movie was pretty solid, especially since Disney has been kinda dropping the ball lately. 7/10!

Some of my favorite movies of all times. If one can stomach the over-the-top, almost cartoonish, violence. :lololol:

I love how over the top the gore is, the whole film kind of has that cartoonish quality to it, like the kung fu films that inspired it. It feels like a nearly unrestrained vision and I love it.

Just saw Uncut Gems. Even though I knew the ending (sadly), my heart was pounding the entire time. I never knew Adam Sandler genuinely had that much in him. Im slightly shaking, the tension and action as each and every step he took lead him further and further down and it's just so gripping! I don't think I've ever recommended a movie more, this was genuinely amazing, shockingly so, considering Adam Sandler of all people starred in it... Just wow...

Why did I do that to myself…
And I did it again :oops2: Well, only the second act because I hadn't realized it was on, and just heard Rebekah Del Rio when my mother was channel-hopping :oops2: What makes it ironic is that earlier I'd been watching a chat show, and there was about a minute of powerful silence when the host couldn't think of anything to say, which just had me thinking "¡Silencio!", and how I really should watch that movie again :hap:

Amazing movie :) I love how surreal it is. My favorite scene that I remember is that part with the cowboy, which reminds me of the man on the phone in Lost Highway. Haven't watched the movie in over a decade though.

I love it too. I only saw it properly once, last year, but I feel I know it intimately because I read up on it so much afterwards, and watched a few YouTube videos!

The weird thing is, the first time I saw it, I'd had a half-asleep vision of a woman of uncertain identity hiding under a table, just like "Rita" after the accident - but this popped into my mind four days before I saw the film :paranormal:

Watched The Lighthouse by Robert Egger... It's wack. Really wack. And also really confusing. I love the black and white, old maritime style it has, and the story showcasing the psyche of these two and their fucked up minds is really interesting. But god, it's just so weird... Solid 9/10!

So, I did watch it again, and it was definitely more... subject to interpretation than I remembered! It was pleasant to watch, but you really have to approach it without any intention of making sense of it. :P

I remember I could make some sense out of Lost Highway at least, but I've never really been able to make sense out of Mulholland Drive.

Here's the scene I mentioned from Lost Highway, creepy stuff.

Watched a couple movies on the plane ride to Italy, figured I should talk about them.

Sinners: I enjoyed it. The music was great, as expected, and I overall found it to be pretty good. Not sure about Oscarworthy, but yeah, it was a pretty solid movie! 8/10

Corpse Bride: It looks gorgeous, sounds nice, and is overall just a sweet little story! 7/10

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: Amazing movie! It's a bit hard to follow in the beginning, but it gets good. 9/10
