For the anniversary of the Rayman 4 prototype I made a Video about the most iconic Character in there. It's my first scripted video so I really appriciate everyone who gives it a try.

Nice video, and Happy Christmas! :D

You totally captured the reaction I had here: viewtopic.php?p=1268116#p1268116  Yeah, I love Pink too, and that graveyard level and its music actually have some real nostalgia for me, even if I disliked most of the rest of the game! :oops2:

I never noticed how the endoskeleton lines up so closely with the outline of his original model – I guess this means I should be paying more attention to Reburrowed, given the "as-God-intended" model shown in the screenshot! :bad:

It is funny though, the thought process must have been like "we can't make this pink body work, let's just do the endoskeleton" – "but then we can't call the character Pink anymore, can we?" "Eh it's grand, let's just change his eyes from red to pink, problem solved!" :hap:

It was a long time ago since I've seen such a passion about a character. I've never paid attention to Pink before, even if his design interested me. I've always seen him as unsettling to be precise.

I like the parts talking about the endoskeleton fitting the prototype model - also when you've showed the FPS parts in the RRR I completely forgot that "Pink" was there. I played this game one I think, so that may be it.

The ending part was the best tho. Unscripted "I love Pink, he's the best" a peak. Really love seeing people adore a character this much. It really shows honest passion.

Also, good luck to all of you that work on Reburrowed. I can't wait for this project!

Thank you! Glad you both liked the video.

Tbf it's hard to notice how well the endo fits in the proto exterior from just renders. This only got discovered through the prototype leak. It honestly makes me really glad Pink was inside.

It's funny to think the thought process was like that. I can also imagine though they didnt care if the name makes sense or not, considering the wanted poster also still refers to him as Big and Pink. And they just thought it would fit better to him.

I'm also glad that the passionism didn't come up as cring. I was worried about that at first but I just wanted to be real and tell my honest opinion about this character.

Also I think there are quite a lot of people who can't remember Pink being in RRR or who just doesnt regonize him as a character. It's really fascinating to me since as I said Pink was the one thing that stood out for me when playing RRR for the first time back as a kid. It's just how much his creepy design clashes with the goofiness of the game. I don't know why but I love it.

And thanks for the good luck! I really hope we can create an authentic and fun Rayman 4.
BTW PlumGMK nice Pink signature.

That's a very interesting video about a rather obscure character! I especially liked the part where you restored his AI from the prototype, highlighting the Terminator inspiration for the original version of the character. This is something we must add to the wiki...

I wouldn't refer to all the pink Rabbids from the GBA version as "Pink" (as in Pink the character), but you raise a good point about the boss with the eyepatch having little to do with Pink from the original version. Another point that could have been highlighted is the size of those various enemies: the boss in Agony Jails is the same size as the exploding bunnies in the Rabbids' Lair, but the generic ones who appear in the Organic Cave and elsewhere in the Dark world are notably larger. Not sure what to make of this, but this was clearly intentional.
