Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Rayman 3's sound track is the best, however Legends has the most unique soundtrack.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Ranking all of these (except R3 since I haven't heard it's OST yet and don't really want to anyways since I haven't played it yet)
I also know that talking in a dead topic such as this one gives you a ting deduction I believe, but hey, I really wanna share my opinion on this.
Rayman 1 -
Amazing soundtrack, I love First Steps, World Map and a lot more I forgot the name of
Nothing I would change or complain about except one thing. Why isn't this soundtrack and the rest of the trilogy's soundtracks on Apple Music? It annoys me. Anyways, 10/10!
Rayman 2 -
Uhhhh.... When you look at raytunes.... all you can see is literally just reprises everywhere. It's boring and nothing sounds good, it's all the same!
2/10, sorry buddy!
Rayman Origins -
When I tell you this has the best soundtrack out of any game, I mean it. This is the holy grail of soundtracks. Billy Martin and Christophe Héral composed straight fire for this. I can genuinely dance to this music. All of it is great. Except the ones that come out of Moody Clouds/Mystical Pique. I don't like those. The best ones are from Gourmand Land, Sea Of Serendipity and the oh so lovely Jibberish Jungle. I could go on about how good it is forever, but I'm not going to do that to keep this short. 12/10.
Rayman Legends -
This soundtrack is utterly boring. Not as boring as R2, but still. I don't like Legends in general but this was probably the nail in the coffin for me. The fact that this game doesn't hold a candle at ALL to Origins despite having literally the same composers is so odd. I know everyone favors RL over RO but I genuinely cannot see why. I wanna like it, but I can't. The only good songs are the reused Origins ones, Luchador, Mambo Mambo (which isn't even in the damn game), and Gloo Gloo. Rayman Legends as a game is solid (not good, but solid), but it's music is like goop. Like... 4.5/10. Still better than R2 atleast.
In conclusion, Origins is the best and R2 is the worst. I can't really say anything about R3 until I beat R2 and start playing that next. I don't wanna spoil anything for myself, including things as simple as music.

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
Does this poll allow for revotes? I feel like opinions can change.
As for me...
Rayman 1
I think when it comes to having catchy tunes, I think Rayman 1 probably tops it out for me. Granted, it was my first so it might just be the power of nostalgia, but I think Rayman 1's OST is probably the most punchy and playful of the bunch, while also still having tracks that really can give a unique, powerful and almost haunting vibe like Meditating Monks, Painted Pentathlon and Deep in the Caves. For a game that's as cartoony as Rayman 1 is, let it not be said it lacks atmosphere either.
Rayman 2
I like Rayman 2's soundtrack, but I think it's more geared towards atmosphere and moodiness than it is being catchy. Its OST works very well in-situ, and while I do have tracks that I like listening to outside of the game (Attack Run, Hall of Doors, Precipice), I don't tend to listen to it as often as some of the others. Not saying it's bad, more it's kinda similar to how I feel about Metroid Dread's OST vs Super Metroids, both do a good job at conveying mood, but Super's is far more memorable.
Rayman 3
It's my favourite game, so I may have a bias here, but I do think its soundtrack is also my favourite. There's a lot of atmospheric tracks like the stuff that plays around the Fairy Council, the Summit Beyond the Clouds, or the climb during Tower of The Leptys. But I think what gets Rayman 3 to my favourite is the enemy encounter themes, I mean Hoodoo's theme is probably potential my absolute favourite track in the series. I think thematically they fit their respective enemies, and can convey the right sense of menace and yet the wackiness that is ineherent to the Hoodlum army. Although of course boss themes for other characters are also good, the violin going off in Begoniax's theme, the regal feeling of Razoff's fight, the tribal feeling of Reflux's first boss theme. All good.
Rayman Origins
While I'll admit I'm not completely fond of how this game made the ukulele sounds a bit of a defining trait for Rayman going forward, the tracks themselves are fairly decent on the whole. I know there's a lot of critique about the general wacky aesthetic of the game and the accompanying soundtrack, but honestly I think on the whole the OST is fine. There's a fair amount of atmosphere and ambience to be had, and while I know some folks don't like the Glou Glou sounds, I actually think they're alright.
Rayman Legends
I'm one of those people who aren't fond of the overt theming of this game, but I still the soundtrack, even if it's a bit too streoetypically medieval for my tastes with some of them.

Unsuprisingly, Rayman Origins has my favorite OST. Even after listening to the tracks thousands of times, I still haven't got tried of them!

Re: Best Rayman Soundtrack?
While I like all of these, I'd say that Rayman Legends has my favorite soundtrack (big surprise, I know). Origins is a very close second, but I think I come back to Legends's OST more often.
