It already did : in Rayman 3, if you remove the plum from the plum walking animation it's basically that.

Our next two concept arts are early sketches of the game's cover and an artwork for the game. Nothing special, but at least they seem to be new.

It appears we're starting to reach the end of the line with the Rayman account's 30th anniversary posts; nevertheless, today's concept art is an early sketch for Rayman 1's Candy Château loading screen. The motion lines on the present in the top left corner make it look like it's falling down, something that doesn't appear to have carried over to the final version.

Additionally, Ubisoft's blog page posted a recap on the 30th anniversary concept arts and celebrations. The only new one I found depicted a Livingstone from the Dream Forest's loading screen art.

(There's a solid chance that isn't new and I just forgot about it... )

I would probably have preferred completely new concept art, but it's still nice to see the sketches that gave birth to some of the series' most iconic artwork!

Not quite sure how to take this coming from this guy, but at least the limbless legend is in Ubisoft's line of sight again. I'm looking forward to what they'll do next with Rayman... with cautious optimism.

That being said, if they can cancel the Sands of Time remake after years of work on it, what's stopping them from giving the ax to the rumored Rayman Legends one? I'm not usually one to root for cancelling projects, but I'm just saying...

He's essentially just repeating what was said about the "exploration phase on the Rayman brand", but at least this seems to confirm that it wasn't canceled.
