How can he see underwater without the water disturbing and causing pain to his eyes, ocean water has so much salt in it...
He is in tremendous pain, but you're the one with the controller...

I'm actually kinda sad that there's no feature where you can heal Rayman if his health is low or give him food to perk him up if he needs a break, like BRO I WANT TO MAKE SURE RAYMAN IS OKAY qnq

If that's what you're into you could try Monster Rancher 2

It's true that a little more interactivity would be nice, though now that I'm trying to make my first game I can appreciate how exhausting it is just to get the main gameplay working at all :fou:

That's an interesting concept. In Beyond Good and Evil they implemented something like this.

Aw what, BG&E had it but not Rayman 2??? Blasphemy! /silly

But tbh yeah, it would have been fun to look after Rayman to make sure he wasn't overexerting himself or if he needed a break and the player would basically look after him in a manner a la Tamagotchi, if that makes sense.

Tribelle2026 wrote: Fri Mar 13, 2026 11:28 am I wonder if Michel Ancel intended for every Rayman game to be a soft reboot set in a new location with a new cast of characters. Michel Ancel requested that the cancelled Rayman 2000 be set in an urban environment with buildings, towns and streets and after Rayman 3 released, Michel Ancel also said that he would have done things differently if he had developed Rayman 3. Considering Rayman 2000's city and vehicles were retooled and reused in Rayman: The Animated Series, maybe Michel Ancel had intended for Lac-Mac, Cookie, Flips and Betina to replace Globox, Ly, the teensies and other Rayman 2 characters in Rayman 2000.
well if that's the case, then I'm kind of happy that never came to fruition as the concept of such a game really doesn't appeal to me :oops2:
Me neither! I would have added a few mysterious and ancient locations to Rayman 3, like the sanctuaries from Rayman 2, but besides that I think the game is excellent and a thousand times better than anything that would have involved Aeropolis and its cursed inhabitants. :P

Personally, I would say Rayman in the Phantom Show is absolutely worth it. I had a blast with the DLC, and in a way it sort of kickstarted the resurgence of attention that Rayman's been getting in recent years. If you like the gameplay of Sparks of Hope and you like Rayman, you'll like the DLC.

As for the entire Season Pass, I would only get that if you're interested in both The Last Spark Hunter and Rayman in the Phantom Show. I was interested in both, so I got the Season Pass, but if Sparks of Hope's gameplay and puzzle-solving really isn't your barrel of plum juice, then I would only recommend getting the Rayman DLC.

I have a reasonable question to ask: Do you refer to Rayman's nose as a nose... or a snoot/snout? Discuss. lol

Nose, because it's Noseless Rayman and not Snoutless Rayman.

Snoutless Rayman sounds less intimidating than Noseless Rayman and I love that

True, haha

Though it's ironic they call him Big Nose when they themselves have big noses too XD

Nose, because saying that rayman has a snout makes me think of rayman with a pig snout, and I dont like that image.

To me, his nose looks like an unfinished dog snout, plus it doesn't help that in one of the episodes of The Animated Series, he acts like a dog in front of Inspector Grub lol

But now that you said that, I'm now afflicted with being cursed :'D

I found it enjoyable, and there's a few nice references there and there, but besides those, you could replace Rayman with any other character and they wouldn't feel out of place in the DLC. I certainly enjoyed the costume more than the random jokes about "method actors". :P
