Uh oh... does this mean that Rayman's helicopter hair story and the characters within it are going to be considered canon now?

We are now contractually obligated to rebrand once again into the Rayman Hair Creature Community!

While Origins-styled versions of skins from Legends and the mobile games would be appreciated (especially for Rayman and Globox, who currently only have two skins each), I would love it if they brought back some of the skins that were scrapped from the original game. They don't have to bring back all of them, but I would love to play as Tarayzan, Uglette, or the Flaming Teensy's Miami Ice counterpart, for example!

Yup, that would be super nice!

I guess that, in a sense, this makes this the true first appearance of Mr Dark in Origins (which is the Mini design mixed to the R1 one, interestingly!).
I guess so! I like how he looks here, though I kind of wish we got to see his face...

Who knows indeed, this may be a teaser for more things to come...

I hope so! Between this nostalgic photoboard, the Vortex and Shock Rocket being in the
Sparks of Hope DLC, the Heavy Metal Fists returning in an upgraded form in
Brawlhalla, and the Retold remake of Legends, if it exists, featuring costumes based on older Rayman games, it feels good to know that Ubisoft is acknowledging the existence of games that aren't just Rayman Legends.
Though it is a little weird that
Rayman 2 hasn't gotten much representation in the more modern titles... I mean, the Robo-Pirates and the Four Masks of Polokus made cameos in
Rayman in the Phantom Show, and the Robo-Pirates were mentioned in Super Metal Rayman's description, but I wonder why Ubisoft is being so coy about that game in particular...?
Yeah, they seem to be on their way to making me eat my words!
But I sure hope they genuinely have some greater plans and it won't be just a cheap attempt at cashing in on nostalgia in the long run...
And yes, they sure have been too quiet regarding Rayman 2... there was even that one amazing artwork of the robo-pirates cardboard cutouts in the Sparks of Hope DLC, but they never ever actually featured it in-game if I recall correctly...
And considering how they also remade all the Rayman GBC music (which originally were directly adapted from Rayman 2) and you could hear the "Space Mama Singing in the Shower Slop" track during the brief history footage of Rayman 2 in the bonuses of 30th Anniversary Edition, I have my fears if they did secure the rights for Eric Chevalier's music for any future Rayman 2 rerelease...

Oh well, at least we got the N64 port on NSO and the GOG Preservation Program update and Ly even got her cute little merch... but it's still very important that they acknowledge this game more for Retold or future entries as it is by far the most important Rayman piece when it comes to the lore and characters, or just its overall impact on the series and the players.
