Rayman Marathon x SpeedRay

Hey there!

It's been since 2019 that the Rayman Speedrunning community held a marathon.
It's time to change that!

Introducing....
Rayman Marathon 2026! [May 30th-31st 2026]

EVENT TYPE
The event will be an ONLINE Relay Race.
Are you familiar with the MMR? (MMR Playlists Here: https://www.youtube.com/@MisfitMascotRelay/playlists)
The plan for this marathon is to use the same format as the MMR.

This means we will be doing a relay race between 3 teams. Therefore, we'll be searching for 3 runners per game. We hope to see as many Rayman games as possible (including fangames, ROM hacks, etc.)!

IMPORTANT
We're not necessarily looking for the best speedrunners. All the teams will be balanced fairly. For example, we take the worst runner for Game A and pair them up with the best runner of Game B, etc. This will all be done based on your PB time. This method has been proven to work in the MMR events. Leading to very close finishes!

Since the event is still far away, this gives you plenty of time to prepare!
Finding at least 3 runners will not be easy for every Rayman game, therefore we'd appreciate you learning new rayman games for this! You will be allowed to run multiple games in the event if we lack runners.

PRIZES
We're looking to get Ubisoft involved for potential prizes & shoutouts. More details on that at a later date.

Congratulations to all the participants, it was really fun to take part in this and have so many Rayman speedrunners gathered for the same event ! And what a breathtaking finale with Enigma going all out with that WR run to try to catch up !

Huge GGs to everyone involved, and a massive congratulations to Team Lum for taking the crown!

The finale was wild. Enigma dropping a WR in Legends live during the relay to try and close the gap is the stuff of marathon legend. Also, I think we can all agree that Tardays' accidental French commentary takeover was the sleeper highlight of the whole event.

Thanks to Thextera, Hunchman, and the whole SpeedRay crew for putting this together. It was a blast to watch from start to finish. See you all next year (maybe with Lum% on the roster? )!
