I have no words for this.

Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
Okay, reading this specific part of the preview is a massive relief. If the core movement tech and fluid controls are truly intact, then my biggest fear about them breaking the physics engine might be avoided.Controller in hand, the basic feel remains very close to what players already know. The controls are precise, the movements are fluid, the visuals are stunning, and the level design is exemplary.
...But this part has me sweating again from a speedrunning perspective. "Cinematic" dragon rides sound an awful lot like fixed-speed rail shooters. If these are essentially un-optimizable auto-scrollers, it's going to be a huge bottleneck for full-game runs. Throw in the new story cutscenes we heard about earlier, and the pacing could be a nightmare if they don't give us a skip button. The “Dragon Ride”: a complete change of pace
While the 3D sections alter perception, the “Dragon Ride” sequences completely change the game's pace. Here, we leave behind the methodical platforming to enter something much more intense, fast-paced, and cinematic. These are moments where the player reacts more than they analyze.
Visually though, I have to admit the game looks insanely crisp in those screenshots. That lighting is doing some heavy lifting. I'm really curious to see how the actual movement flows in the trailer during the State of Play tonight!

Am I the only one who doesn’t think it looks that bad? Especially when you compare it to the CGI trailer. I really love the green eyes as well!!
(Glad they toned down certain *aspects* ahem of her body, I thought it was a bit odd for a literal barbarian with the face of 9 year old to be showing so much skin, glad there has been a course correction from origins nymphs to legends Barbara and to what we have now )

Come on, even if you just think about it logically: they’re selling this game alongside its direct prequel, which features a different Betilla. Draw your own conclusions.

The hyper realistic Betilla isn't even in the game. The person who leaked the art put it through AI and added the realistic fairy. It wasn't in the art originally.danyq94 wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 3:18 pm Don't worry, it will be explained.

The full key art is real. Stop spreading misinformation, please.

Or it’s just the extended version of the key art that will be used as some banners on websites and social media, and it’s real.Tribelle2026 wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 3:31 pm The hyper realistic Betilla isn't even in the game. It's the hyper-realistic Betilla that I hate, I don't mind Barbara at all. I actually think you make a good point!icesmile wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 2:51 pm Am I the only one who doesn’t think it looks that bad? Especially when you compare it to the CGI trailer. I really love the green eyes as well!!

I want to keep an open mind, but I don't see what kind of explanation justifies this. I reserve the right to complain until proven wrong.danyq94 wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 3:18 pm Don't worry, it will be explained.

Nope, none of them made the cut.NeoKuma wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 10:21 am Do you know if any scrapped worlds from legends are in the remake?
Betilla is definitely in the game.
Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
Yeah I honestly do not think it looks that bad, I'm not convinced yet by the separate eyes but everything else I love. I really like the hair on Rayman, and I also love how expressive Barbara looks in the screenshots. It honestly feels like a really nice evolution of the original 3D rendition.icesmile wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 2:51 pm Am I the only one who doesn’t think it looks that bad? Also yes, if the Betilla redesign is explained withing the story, I don't really mind it, as long as it is explained well. Still, I would've liked a more cartoony design for her, but if she's going to be treated as some kind of deity, I think that the drastic change in design from the rest of the characters might help to sell the otherworldly feeling of meeting a goddess, despite y'know, Rayman casually hanging out with the Polokus every other Thursday.icesmile wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 2:51 pm (Glad they toned down certain *aspects* ahem of her body, I thought it was a bit odd for a literal barbarian with the face of 9 year old to be showing so much skin, glad there has been a course correction from origins nymphs to legends Barbara and to what we have now )

No, sorry, you're wrong.
The image was indeed edited using artificial intelligence, but only to "enhance" its quality by increasing the resolution. So it's an result of an enhancement tool like Waifu2X and Remini, and many other apps.
The original high-quality image was also published on the Canadian website hosting the images provided by Ubisoft for the press kit. You're simply spreading falsehoods.
Please stop it; there are only a few hours left, and you'll be proven wrong.

Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
thats a real shame
Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
What's that little Rayman logo in the bottom right corner? Are they making some kind of separate team only for the Rayman franchise like SEGA and the Sonic Team? And why use the UbiArt font for that logo and then remake the main logo in the box art when the first one is arguably better and more recognisable??
Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
While we wait to see how Tribelle2026 is wrong about the key art (which is entirely official), here’s a new images.

Re: Rayman remake rumor - confirmed by Ubisoft!
Okay, this is undeniably gorgeous.
I will never fully understand the corporate logic of spending a AAA budget to remake a 13-year-old game that still looks and plays perfectly fine today, especially when we've been starving for a proper Rayman 4.
The idea of playing the exact same 1:1 level layouts yet again is still completely baffling to me.
But purely from a visual standpoint? Wow. The lighting, the depth of the backgrounds, the foliage... it's actually stunning. That shot of them running through the forest looks like a high-budget animated movie, and the giant toad model is incredibly detailed.
I'm still not entirely sold on Rayman's separated eyes, and the less we talk about Generilla the better
, but the environments are doing a massive amount of heavy lifting here. It's a huge step up from that awful upscaled key art we saw earlier.
If the game actually looks this good in motion, it's going to be a very surreal experience. I still question the why of this project, but I can't deny the how is looking pretty top-tier. Let's see what the trailer tonight actually shows us!

Feeling a mix of emotions right now. I think the Rayman model in game looks absolutely fantastic but seeing him with split eyes in the cutscenes looks jarring. Graphically kind of insane maybe too insane i feel like characters will get lost in the chaos especially during multiplayer. Overall though wow looks exciting dying to see the state of play now and hopefully some footage of the Rayman 3 combat fatigue skins.
