The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy Cartoon Project

Post by Kelvin12 »

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction
As known to some Americans... the dullest most boring movie that was released in America in 2005. I disagree, it was very hilarious, but then of course, I have a giant sense of humor thinking many of the dullest comedies can be funny. I was very interested that the movie would be great for a book, but yet, I did not come from that way, here's how it went.

1. In Feb. 2006, I was searching for a song called, "It's the End of the World" by REM, and I found a good custom music video for it.
2. The music video actually started with the main theme of H2G2 which originally was a song made by the band, The Eagles, and it was called "Journey of the Sorcerer". (Video can be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RAb7CQpBtaw)
3. I recognized the beginning song from the H2G2 movie, a few days later, I went to youtube again and searched this: http://youtube.com/results?search_query ... the+Galaxy , I know I spelt it wrong. I saw many videos about H2G2.
4. One certain Sat. I went to my local Blockbuster and rented the H2G2 movie, and I noticed they also had the original T.V series (which I had rented before but never got past the opening sequence because there was totally nothing but Peter Jones' voice and a boring sunset and almos fell asleep and then woke up when I saw DON'T PANIC, then I turned the DVD player off) When I went home I watched, I laughed, but I didn't cry. A few days later, I rented the T.V. series and actually stayed awake.
5. I was watching the special features and I heard it was originally a book and a radio series. In class, I drew the characters of the series based on the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends look.
6. On a new Fri. I went to the Public Libary I borrowed the first book... The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
7. Went on Deviant Art and saw hundreds of pictures about H2G2.
8. Got the idea about a Cartoon. Drew another sketch during homework with new look for Marvin. Drew new sketch for Character line up a week later. (totally different then the FHFIF's look)
9. Posted the planning on RZ. (Started preview cartoon)
10. Made a new webpage on Inky Panels about H2G2.
11. Found the TV series intro.
12. ... Lost the TV series intro :(
13. Searched for it today...
14. Still haven't found it... (HELP ME!)
15. Posted about Cartoon planning here. (And still working on the preview cartoon)

Job Offers
A long list huh? That's just began in Feburary 8! Well anyways, if you can help me join the process of the cartoon, help me in these ways.

1. Voicers- Place the voices in characters.
Instructions: When I send you a script and a voiceless cartoon episode, read the script while watching the video (To make your character's lips move while you talk). Save the video afterwards without editing anything else except the voices, send it to me and afterwards the video might be released (unless the video is missing of voices, then the cycle will go over and over with the 1st voiced video then the 2nd then etc.).

2. Contacters- Er...
Instructions: Just help me send a letter to Hammer & Tongs (website at: Tongsville) and BBC (website at: BBC)

3. Music Composers- Just make music to go with the cartoon!
Instructions: I'll send you a video of the finished episode, then make some music to go with it, and add it on to the video (must be MP3 music)
Also, I would need a custom Theme Song that sounds like Journey of the Sorcerer, in other words, I would need a custom H2G2 Theme Song.

4. Color Artist- Someone that puts the color into the Cartoon.
Intrstructions: When I send you the uncolored, unvoiced, and no CGI included video, you will place color in to the episodes from what the concept art shows what it will look like.

5. Visual Effects- A CG, CGI Artist.
Instructions: In episodes, I will send you the storyboards (falsely animated) and hopefully make them into CGI or CG animated sequences.

6. Concept Artist- A person who draws the previews or original concepts for something.
Instructions: You will work with me as we draw many locations and characters many times until we just make it look right.

7. A sound crew: Sound Effects: Sounds added during post-production by the sound crew. Also used as a job title. Sound Designer: The conceptual chief of a movie's soundtrack, responsible for designing and creating the audio component of a movie (in other words, the person who makes the score as in, you help me by making custom mp3 music. multiple people included.)

*GASP!* Well I'm not really surprised, it was a Radio series in England, then a book series in America and England, after that england tv series (DVD release for whole Season in America) , they had some stageplays, and in it's latest form, an American/Britian movie. No france or Canada in there.

Why would I have the same sig? I'm not like Klayman. My original account would have been Kelvin10, but the admins wouldn't let me have it.
So, I was stuck with my dad's account.
