Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Or being made into a game even.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Sadly, I doubt this would ever become a real game. The best I could do is write a story about it or make a lesser (or sadly, much lesser) version of it on GameMaker. I'm leaning towards making it a story.
What I'd LIKE to do is make it a FLASH movie. However, I don't have Macromedia FLASH... bogus...

You can get it off the website I think.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Isn't it like $300 to download, though? I was sure you had to pay for it.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
ya you do but there are other ways to create something like this so don't give up a friend of mine and I were in the same straights you were we had great storys which we could only carry out on game maker but then one day on of my friends friend gave us every thing to make amazing 3d games so don't give up!
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
I played Twighlight princess for the Wii for the first time today and I thought it was great.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
It gets better as it goes along.
A bit back on topic, CotT is a unique kind of story because Princess Zelda herself gets to go alongside Ryo in the adventure. She's actually the narrator for the story as well. Unlike in most games, Zelda in this story expresses many emotions - sorrow, worry, joy, and even anger. Another thing expressed in the story that's not in any Zelda game is love. Yes, Ryo and Zelda get to say that they love each other, and at the end, they get to kiss. So, Princess Zelda gets more spotlight shared with her. It's as much about her as it is about Ryo.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
It sounds like a good story, at least there will be a change in it as well. None of the zelda tales have involved a love story before.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Princess Zelda of the Forest Haven (my girlfriend) is helping me write out the story.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
there is a zelda game involving love in its story actualy
Ocarina of time
Wind waker
Ocarina of time
Wind waker
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Ocarina of Time had hints, yes. But there was no real affection - not even a hug - with Link and Zelda. I can't call that a love story.
The Wind Waker? Love Story? For one, they're just kids! Second, I don't really see much as far as love with Link and Zelda, especially because Zelda is Tetra for most of it.
When I say love story, I mean that the hero, in this case Ryo, and Zelda show their love for each other. Not only do they actually say "I love you" to each other, but they kiss in the ending cinimatic. I have other plans for them as well.

Such as, things they do when you leave them idle (if it was a game). For instance, after you beat the game and you're in the post-story level, leave Ryo idle when Zelda is nearby and she may lean her head on his shoulder. It's cute.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Sounds like a proper love story. Romeo and Juliet style?
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Mmmmm... not really, no. It take Ryo until after the final battle to finally admit his love for her. Ryo was just a wandering swordsman (thus why his title is "Rurouni of Fire" at that point) until he saw Gravitor trying to invade the castle. He rescues Zelda from the evil man and then the race to stop him from leveling Hyrule began. Ryo and Zelda grow to show their love for each other over time, but it was just about love at first sight... however, one did not know the other felt the same way.
~~~
UPDATE:
CotT will have more bosses:
Neo King Dodongo
Queen Mothula (moved from 'extra' to 'manditory')
The third new boss, I haven't thought up yet...
Why? Well, putting Gravitor's invasion first in the story seemed like jumping into too much too soon. However, that's Ryo's perfect intro. So, I made a comprimise. That scene is how the story starts, but not the beginning of the action. As Ryo rests in one of the guest bedrooms in the castle, he tells Zelda how he got there. And so that shows the TRUE beginning of the story that leads up to the invasion. Because of this, those 'early' bosses have been added.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
Wow thems a lot of ideas coming out.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
They certainly are. ^^
The third boss has been made: Teketotem.
I'm well on my way to finally writing all this down.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
I like the boss name.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce (central topic)
In case you're a little unsure why it's called that, it's a group of 6 Teketites stacked on each other like a totem pole. Hence, Teketotem. Neat, huh?
There'll be a more in-depth scene to Ryo's discovering his origin. It'll be pretty intense. I should probably start writing this stuff, huh?
