Original Television
Does anyone else here enjoy television that is considered 'old'? You know - shows like Magnum, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Starsky and Hutch, et cetera.
As for me, I absolutely love the 80's/90's show Quantum Leap. Great producer, great writer, great actors, great story, not to mention how believable the characters and events are in it. a 12/10 show, can't be missed. Great morality in it, not only can it be entertaining, it can be a great lesson to small kids about what is moral and what is immoral, even the show doesn't intend that. Okay, maybe I'm giving the show an extra mark because one of the main characters has the same name as me, but even if he didn't, I'd still give it 11/10.
Tell us what you think of Quantum Leap and any other 'original' shows.

I do watch Starsky and Hutch a little, but unfortunately I don't watch many other of the 'oldies' as they are referred to now.

Re: Original Television
Personally, I'm addicted to Star Trek, the Next Generation in particular. It's hard to believe that stuff is 20 years old. It's still amazingly good TV, though.

Heck, I completely forgot about Star Trek! My favorite was Enterprise because it had Scott Bakula off Quantum Leap in it

Re: Original Television
I love the themes for Quantum Leap, Magnum and Starsky and Hutch. Mike Post is the best TV themes composer. READ THIS DARN POST, MIKE POST!

The only one of those shows I've seen is Quantum Leap. I'm going to borrow it from a friend, who has every season on DVD.

Re: Original Television
I was really annoyed when season 5 was released. If the release date of that hadn't been altered, I would have got every season in the space of a year (I bought seasons one to four in '06, season five in January '07). But I have them now, so it doesn't matter. I like the last episode. Quite touching.

Re: Original Television
I have never heard of any of them. I guess I'm too young to have heard of them.
Re: Original Television

Re: Original Television
I think David Soul played Hutch didn't he? I forgot who played Starsky.
I think on Quantum Leap, Scott Bakula played Sam and Dean Stockwell played Al.
Also, good to see you, Pianoman!

Re: Original Television
I just think most classic TV is good. The only ones I'm aware of watching are Star Trek and Quantum Leap, however.
