Dodongo's Cavern Boss
NEO KING DODONGO
REINCARNATE INFERNAL DINOSAUR
Attacks:
Trample (1 heart damage)
Tusk Shove (1/2 heart damage)
Roll (1/2 heart damage)
Exploding Rain (1/4 heart damage per hit)
Fire Breather (0 hearts damage / Throws Ryo back)
Battering Ram (1 heart damage)
Weapons Required:
Old Trusty Sword
Bombflower Seed
Cut Scene 1:
Ryo drops from the ceiling's hole and lands in an immense circular room with big rocks everywhere. An unusually large rock is in the center. Bombflowers cover the ceiling. A small bit of soft soil is on the outer edge of the room. Ryo looks at the soft soil, as it seems to have a tiny sprout in it.
A low crack echoes through the scilent, stuffy air. Ryo stands up straight. His eyes move to look to his left before turning his body to see what made the sound. The huge boulder has a large crack in it. The crack widens on its own and soon, Ryo realizes that it's no boulder at all. It's a monsterous Dodongo! The Dodongo turns to face Ryo and roars loudly, flames escaping its throat. Swiping its foot on the ground three times, it lunges forward. Ryo dives to the side to avoid the beast and it keeps charging, smashing down all the big rocks and turning them into little rocks. It soon leans towards the wall but continues to race along its perimeter.
How to Defeat:
Dodongo will be running around the arena. Once he's passed the soft soil, quickly plant a Bombflower Seed there. Wait a moment, and a Bombflower will grow. However, it may take until Dodongo's next pass for that to happen. After planting, go to the center of the arena and wait. Whatever you do, do NOT get in front of Dodongo while he's running. If you do, he'll aim for you and either try to stomp on you or bash his head into you, knocking you away harshly. After three passes total, Dodongo will slide to a stop and turn to face you. He'll roar, letting out flames and then curl into a ball. When he does, he'll roll forward so run away. Once he crashes into the wall, bombflowers will drop from the ceiling. Watch for the shadows of the Bombflowers as they fall and avoid them to not get blown up. After the onslaught is over, Dodongo will uncurl and walk to the center of the room. Now's a good time to go back to that bombflower and pick it up. The big lizard will take a deep breath inward and when he does, throw the bomb into his mouth. He'll swallow it and the bomb will explode, causing him to collapse. Draw your sword and hit his weakspot - no, not his face. He's not weak like the first King Dodongo was. Go for the tail; the weakness of all Dodongos. Hit him three times and he'll get up and start running. Repeat this process until you've hit him a total of nine times.
Once you've completed three round of this, King Dodongo will call in three smaller Dodongos. Get rid of them if you want, but he'll just call in three more. On top of that, a rock falls from the ceiling, blocking a soil patch, so you only have three bombflowers left. Progress through this stage like before, only with the annoyance of the added Dodongos. Do this until you've completed two full rounds.
After you have gotten his tail a total of 15 times, King Dodongo will call in three more smaller Dodongos, making a total of six in the room. After doing this, two more patches of soil have been stomped with rocks from the ceiling, leaving only one patch left. Proceed like before, but with the annoyance of six Dodongos in the room. This is the final round.
Cut Scene 2:
King Dodongo roars loudly as he starts running again. But the cuts on his tail open up, letting out a firey kind of fluid. He races around, but soon grows weaker due to bloodloss. He bangs his head on the wall, causing bombflowers to drop. Because he's not curled up, a bomb lands on his tail, causing even more excrusiating pain. He hobbles towards Ryo and tries to burn him up, but when he roars in Ryo's face, nothing but smoke escapes. Dodongo's jaw seems to lock open as his breath runs out. He collapses to the side and his body turns to stone. A crack appears on his side and the stone Dodongo crumbles and turns to sand before Ryo's eyes. as the sand spreads, it reveals a Heart Container that was inside the beast.

Nice one, as usual =) Any pictures coming?
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
There is one at my art topic, which I updated. I'm glad someone finally posted to this.
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
Wow, seems tough. I mean, I haven't even thought of bombflower seeds! (probaly from TP, huh?) Anyways, six dodongos and one soil patch does seem tough, great Dodongo boss! I mean, the first is alot easier than this, awesome job! I'll comment on the pic of it on Da soon!
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
I loved them Bomb flowers!
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
Bombflower Seeds is not from TP. In fact, I made 'em up myself.
I'm glad people like it. It didn't take me long to think of it. I may post Glacious or Jack of Lanturns next.

That was awesome you have real skill with designing zelda stuff!
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
A real Zelda Pro!!!
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
I'm glad this catches your eyes now. I've been playing Zelda a lot, so I'm glad the useless trivial knowledge pays off.
The next I do is probably Jack of Lanturns.

Alrighty, I'll see to reading up on Jack of Lanturns as well!
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
It takes a while to be a master of ZELDA, A LONG TIME.
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
I wouldn't consider myself a master of Zelda. I just think I have enough knowledge to make my own story and bosses and stuff.
Re: LoZ: CotT Early Boss 1 - Neo King Dodongo
Well your doing well with that. Your drawings are pretty good.
