Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
I picked up Rayman2 for the Dreamcast because it was the cheapest game on the market. I thought 'I like the Robo-Pirates', then waited for RaymanM. Then, I bought that, then played it on the PS2. I thought, 'I like Razorbeard's theme', so I waited for Rayman3 and purchased it. I played it. I thought, 'I like the Hoodlums'. Then I waited for RRR. Bought it. Liked it. 'I like the rabbit things'. Currently waiting for RRR2 so that R4 can come out.
In the meantime, I've purchased Rayman1 for the PSX. It's great. I like the Pink Plant Woods music.

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
Finally a good question ;P
I came into Rayman when I was 12 back in 1999 when Rayman 2 just came out on the N64. What basically happened was that I was flicking through an N64 magazine when I saw their Rayman 2 review, and I couldn't stop looking. I kept buying other magazines that had Rayman content in, like stickers. This went on until I got Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast, which I wouldn't stop playing, despite being confused by the fact that none of the characters spoke English.
Then I got Rayman 1 on PSOne, which again wouldn't stop playing. I was really disappointed with the ending though and the fact that you don't actually fight Mr Dark but instead a whole bunch of previous bosses jumbled up. Nonetheless it was a nice long game that made me want to finish right to the end, with great music and lush graphics to boot.
After that, I got Rayman M and Revolution on PS2. I loved all the extra bits in RR, and while I did like RM, I still thought it was disappointing because it had Ly on the back cover but she wasn't in it. I didn't mind Tily at all, but hated playing as the Henchman 1000. Soon after I got Rayman 3 on both PS2 and GBA.
Between then I showed my love for Rayman by drawing all my old fanart and hunting for anything other than the games, like the TV series and the bush figurine, both of which I finally have as of now

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
I was just going to say. You actally do have to fight Mister Dark for a Time on the last bit. When you Defeat him, he brings in all the other bosses to try and Finish you off. You do fight him, and you defeat him. He just buggers off like a coward and lets all the other fight you.StaceyW wrote: I was really disappointed with the ending though and the fact that you don't actually fight Mr Dark but instead a whole bunch of previous bosses jumbled up.

Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
I did become a fan when my friends Rayman2 didn't work so he did give it to me to see does it work on my computer. And it did work.
Re: How did you become a Rayman fan?
I'm not sure of the specifics, but I became a fan sometime after Rayman 4 was announced (back when Raving Rabbids was still a platformer) and before the game's release.

The platformer looked so much better than the minigame frenzy.
