Pokemon wasn't a rip off. It was probably the first anime that had much impact.

I never tryed Yu-gi-oh, mainly because I have already wasted tons of money on Pokemon cards and I gave them all away.

Yu-gi-oh is so much more fun than pokemon. I think yu-gi-oh is a great card game, and doing custom stuff is great fun.
