Like I said, Drolpiraat's can stay open since it was the first, though either wait for locks (maybe contact through PM, if you're that obsessed) or just let the others sink already! Continuing to post while complaining the entire time makes it worse for all of us. Would both of you settle down?

Yes, though you're kind of supporting it.

And your English is very much understandable. It seems like just stumbling across it happens quite a bit.

It's good to see members who became Rayman fans from R2. Users who become fans from games like RRR are noobs, naturally :tssk:

And your English is pretty good :)

I became a major Rayman fan when I was only 7 years old, when the first Rayman game came out in the U.S. in 1995. I was still too little and carefree to have much skill when it came to video games, so I never got very far. I think Bandland was the furthest I went at that age. I drew 'scribble' pictures of him a lot in class after that. I was obsessed over him for about two years. I was pretty upset when my parents refused to buy Rayman 2 just because no one in the house had been able to beat the first game. I missed out on a lot because of that. My fandom slowly died from lack of exposure to Rayman. For years he was nearly forgotten. I still loved playing the first game, but that was all I had to go by.
Christmas of 06 brought my Fandom back. My parents managed to remember my obsession over Rayman and bought me Rayman DS. At first I was a little upset cause I thought it was a port of the first Rayman game. I was much happier to find that it was a port to the second game instead. Here comes the sad part: Due to school, art, chores and other stuff, it took me 6 months to beat the game!! XD
Once I moved out of the house, I was able to play Rayman 3 on my boyfriend's PS2. By this time I was drawing Rayman pretty damn well and was considering a fancomic. Once I beat the game, Human Flaws was already in the works.

I plan to remain a Rayman Fan for a very long time.

It must be almost ten years since I became a Rayman fan now. o.o I was about 7-8 years old when my sister got Rayman for PS1. We loved playing it, but found the game both difficult and hard to get through, but I also loved to play it. I strived hard to beat it, even though it took me ages. The fact that one didn't need a memory card, and could use passwords instead made me really happy, since I didn't have any memory cards in the beginning, so I beat the entire game without one.
When Rayman 2 came out on PS1 I was overjoyed. It was right before Christmas, so I "casually" told my mother I wanted that game when we were in the local game shop. You bet I was happy when I got the game for Christmas! :mryellow:
After that I've played borrowed Rayman M a few times, got Rayman Revolution a couple of years ago to my birthday, and bought Rayman 3, and RRR for my Wii. My favorite game is, of course Rayman 2. So many memories and good times with that game :D And also I can play that little demo for that original Rayman 2 after the end of the game as well. xD
For now I'm hoping that Ubisoft will somehow manage to get back on track again with Rayman, not focus 99% on some stupid, crazy rabbids, and drag Rayman away from his own homeworld to our planet. Those who become Rayman fans because of RRR/RRR2 are really missing out on the good stuff from the previous games that made a really good Rayman game >___> Not some crazy creatures you want to kill anyways. x3 RRR looked good at first with the trailers that first came. The rabbids actually seemed like dangerous foes, and a real threat to Rayman's world and that. If that hadn't been changed, then perhaps the game would've been a lot better at least. o.o

The trailer brought a lot of promise to the Rayman series. It looked like it was gonna be the darker one of the four games, then the project took a somersault and a flip, then transformed into a party game right next to Warioware. I hope that eventually they'll get back on track to make a real Rayman game...I personally would like one that explains Rayman's "Mysterious Past". Maybe they can somehow bring Mr. Dark back into the series...I'd like to actually kick is butt for once!

Wow.... I've became a Rayman fan around seven years ago. The first game I played was Rayman 2. It was hard for me, but I LOVED it. Such a fresh storyline, very fun and interesting gameplay. I became a Rayman fan after that. And I would never have become a fan if my cousin didn't pick up the game off the shelf in the first place. At first I thought he looked so weird... A character with a big nose and no limbs. But man, was I wrong. He's awesome. And I guess that's how it all started. It makes me so sad now, looking at the Raving Rabbids. They completely overshadow him it seems... Rayman was the character that won the early fans to the series in the first place. I dunno... Whenever I watch Rayman 2 videos, it makes me feel kind of hurt inside (possibly because I miss that kind of storyline and gameplay to the series so much). I would take stories and action games over minigames any day.

Well, for me it started very easy. I was on some kind of school tour (that is not true, cause this wasn't organised by school. However you can think about school tours, mix it with Polish schools, Polish teachers, and Polish students, and get Polish school tour. And after this, you will see something very similar) and many more of us were bored. Yes, you heard it good. Bored. And after few days, one of our pals get out his GBC with R1 cartridge.

When most of us tried to became master of jumping, I personally tried to understand what was game about. After six months, I came to my school friend's home (nameday party), and I played R2 on his computer. I was a bit shocked, when I realised that Rayman hasn't got limbs and legs.

After a few years, games (educational) that I already have beaten were so boring... I bought RM for something about 10$ (today, that time it was 20PLN). I enjoyed the game, especially music. Then I bought R2 (for 15PLN) and I really got excited.

The most interesting thing is how I bought R3. At the moment, seperate R3's were very rare and costed about 50 PLN, but there was 10th Anniversary with very similar price. You know what I have do? I bought R10A, and then sold R2 and RM for something about 20PLN.

After all, I am looking for R1 (for PC, of course). However, I am not sure will I find it any time in Poland... if ULR/REL will not work.
