I can play chords C G and D almost smoothly together on the guitar now!

Yeah, they'll stay that way for quite a while. Probably about 2 or 3 weeks, maybe less depending on how much you play. Then you'll have nice calluses, so you won't have to worry. Just play as often as you can.

Well, as you get better at it, you're going to love it more. I suggest picking up some instructional books, downloading guitar tabs, and all that jazz.

Well I am starting to be able to get chords together already, It is not taking me as long to move onto different chords now.

I am still struggling a little bit, but I am getting there. I am not trying to combine major and minor chords now.
