That works for me! Want some tips for tuning it up?
Re: List of ranks
I can't tune it now, because everyone else is in bed and I would wake them up, but yeah, give me some tips.

Re: List of ranks
Ok, first, get the low E on the piano. Again, can't specify what octave. Now, the next string should be tuned to the fifth fret of the low E. In other words, they sound exactly the same. Next, The D string should match the 5th fret of the A string. The G string should go in the same manner. However, the B string, should match the 4th fret of the G, not the 5th. The High E is again the 5th fret.

Re: List of ranks
You have to make sure it's very precise, though, and try to make sure the high E sounds like the low E.
Re: List of ranks
Yeah, I will do that. Did you know that Steve Vai has a 7 stringed Guitar?

Re: List of ranks
Figured as much. I'd like one of those for my metal, but I wouldn't mind too much if I couldn't.
Re: List of ranks
You would need 6 fingers to be able to play it effectively.

Re: List of ranks
Just for chords. Power chords would be a breeze. And riffs. Don't forget those.
Re: List of ranks
What are power chords?

Re: List of ranks
5th chords basically. In standard tuning, it's two frets above that of the string below it.
Re: List of ranks
They sound hard.

Re: List of ranks
It's pretty darn simple. Look them up. There's bound to be a diagram somewhere on the web.
