You have to create a new avatar from the original pic, not from the ugly RZ rank.

It wouldn't really make any difference because the one produced in Paint will be shite

It depends how skillful you are with it and if you can make the most of the resources available for you, even if they are not too good.

Even so, the program will put restrictions on the output capability depending on how bad or good it is. I agree, though, that you do need to be good at it.

It is not that hard to get good a paint.

It's actually impossible to make great avatars only the Paint. Just because the GIF encoding used by MS Paint sucks.

Rofl, paint can't even save files as *.jpg without quality loss.

Without a huge quality loss actually... If you just want to draw, Paint isn't so bad, it's just a low-featured piece of drawing software, but it can't do much apart from BMPs.

All you can do is draw. You can't use it to create pics.

It is possible, bit you would have to do it pixel by pixel and it would take weeks to draw very high quality pictures.

The quality would be lost while saving it as a real pic format. This is why I said you could use it to draw, but not to create pics.
