To Occupy Yourself...

Post by SamBeckett94 »

I find it interesting to hear what people do to occupy themselves when completely fed up. There can be some interesting habits people have, and it can even inspire me to make something different to do!
The one I do most - I HTML code for no reason, though I just stick to basic HTML when bored, and just ramble on. An example of a complaint I made that I put in HTML:

<HTML>

<HEAD>
<TITLE>The Fools who Deserve No Pity</TITLE>
</HEAD>

<BODY>
<H2>The Fools who Deserve No Pity</H2>
I would like to complain about the amount of god damn foolishness that goes around in the world.
'm talking about all sorts of idiotic things that is dangerous and could be harmful to some people. Now, from what I've seen, I doubt that there are many people that I know would shoot fireworks at each other, or prat about in the middle of the road, but I'm just making a point.
</BODY>

</HTML>

I'm a grumpy old git, aren't I?

Anyway, shoot.

The HTML or the topic? I think you understand the HTML, though, as you appear to have an understanding of those things.

If you don't understand the topic, I mean:
please tell me what you do to occupy yourself in an eventless day. eg, I like to get blottoed, but unfortunately I end up with a hangover, so I'm asking for some ideas ;)

I try to avoid being fed up with things... and only things I may get fed up with is things not wanting to work correctly. o_O

Or if a game is too hard... I guess I normally find something to do.. either talk on MSN, play games, work on RTFS, umm... well... o_O I can't really think of anything else, ya'know. o_O

I sit in front of the computer, doing nothing or working on my game.
OR I reply to all topics in the RTFS forum.

I... draw things. I draw things like dogs with human faces and crab legs. That keeps me occupied for a while. : D

I think I may understand the slight hint in that message...

Anyhow, fortunately, I discovered something that could keep any respectable 37 year old occupied - I now convert YouTube flv cartoons to avi files for my nephew and burn them to a blank DVD. Now, his latest obsession is Road Rovers. It's a nice little hobby, even if you're not doing it for someone else, keeps you occupied. Entertainment-wise, my life has gone right downhill after finishing New Super Mario Bros. completely, so I need to buy more games for the DS too. The modern 2D platformers are too easy, even if they are fun. If you own New Super Mario Bros, you'll know what I mean.

Take it easy, it was just a small joke :mrgreen: I suck at programming so I can't do much either (but HTML).

The paragraph after the first sentence of my previous post wasn't aimed at you ;)
Sorry if you thought it was.

I draw or read. There are so many ways to occupy myself when I'm fed up with any kind of sort (which is quite often).

I draw, read, write or play the violin or the cornet depending on what I feel like. Sometimes I take a walk too, but it's been a while now. It's way too cold outside.

You play it too? What guitar do you have? And amp?

Mine's a Fender Strat '57 Reissue; the amplifier is a very simple one though lol.

I have a Danelectro Stratercaster, a Fender Startercaster, a rather small but useful Marshall amplifier, and I own an acoustic which I had completely forgotten about until the other day.
