Prolougue
It was a gloomy day in the Glade of Dreams. Rain came down heavily from the sky splashing gently when hitting the ground. dark clouds loomed overhead creating an eerie shadow over the land. not many people roamed the streets as they usually do today you would hardly see a soul outside. almost as if deserted except for 2 strange creatures walking in the rain, their feet sinking into the mud with every step. The only logical explanation was that they were crazy...

Which is what Rayman thought as he walked through a small village on what could be the worst weathered day of the year. he has been out for easily more then 2 hours with Globox. "I must be crazy to be out here today" he thought to himself, he wouldn't be out here today if it wasn't for globox who dragged him out here in the first place. Globox remembering his wife's birthday at the last minute again was of course desperate to find a gift for her fast.

He couldn't say no to globox's plea. Globox had helped him in a lot of his adventures and when Globox asked him if he could help him find a gift Rayman couldn't say no. So here he was walking thought the pouring rain coming down harder by the second each drop seeming like hell when they landed on rayman. So they were in the village hoping to find a gift. Most stores however were closed due to the storm.

"how about you buy her a chair?" Rayman suggested while trying to adjust his hair which was now drooping down into his eyes. "Nah" Globox replied turning down another of the few ideas rayman suggested. "We have about 50 chairs already I buy her a chair every year I think its time to change." Globox answered rather dully,
"I KNOW" globox shouted happily "I'LL GET HER SOME JEWELRY!"

"I already told you to get her jewelry 8 times"
"well I must not have heard you"
"just go in the store and get some I'll be waiting out here"

Globox ran into the store with delight leaving Rayman in the rain, and on the cold lonesome street. It was now practically pitch black out and rayman could hardly see a thing. if it wasn't for the dim light from the lums he never would have spotted the silhouette walking towards him. "Hello?" Rayman shouted at it but all he got in reply was a sneeze. A sneeze he recognized all to well.

It was the mail teensie, who apparently had the unfortunate duty of delivering the mail on this kind of day.
"Hello Rayman" He said in his ruff voice which although he wasn't a day past 30 made him sound 80. "I got a message for you" He said handing Rayman a soggy envelope. "Sorry it’s a little wet though."

Rayman ripped open the envelope and thought soggy was only half of it. He could barley read it now that the writing was smudged from the rain. But he managed to make out an address and ly's writing telling him to meet her at her house tonight.
Rayman began to say thanks but the teensie was gone. Rayman turned to leave forgetting about globox wondering what ly wanted and he walked into the shadows of the forest along the trail to ly's house.

Chapter 1 dun dun duuun
Rayman was now rushing to ly's house as fast as he could. Now really dark on the path to her house Rayman could barely see a thing. And with the rain hitting against his eyes the blur didn't help much at all. He could hardly see his hand in front of his face he was now rushing faster and faster feeling the wind rush through his hair.

Then he seemed to be floating. For a short amount of time life seemed to stop and before he could figure out what was going on he felt pain blinding pain from the back of his head. he saw a flash of colors then felt as if the world had stopped. as if he was dead.

Ly was at home at the same moment pacing back and forth across the room waiting for Rayman to arrive. After taking one quick look through the window and seeing no one she quickly grabbed her jacket and stepped outside into the rain deciding that there must be something wrong and went out looking for Rayman.

After exiting the jewerly store Globox looked around only to find no one was around. sighing to himself Globox started to walk home. but he heard faint sound of someone walking through the mud behind him. He started growing more and more nervous as the same sound started getting closer and louder.

Then he stopped knowing he couldn't ourun it so he turned around only to see the sillhouette of a limbless creature with eyes of such hatred that he felt the coldness run down his spine. He opend his mouth to scream but nothing but a small croak from the bottom of his throat came out. he tried to run but it felt like his feet never exsisted.

All he could was stand there as a hand reached for his throat, a hand he knew, a hand he always felt comfort when seeing. But this time he began to weep, feeling the coldness of the white glove around his neck, feeling his breathing stop, seeing the world beginning to turn white, seeing a figure standing in front of him with a facial expression he thought he would never have to see. An expression of nothing but cold hate. and that was the last thing he saw when he seemed to slither away from reality. he saw his whole life flash before his eyes until everything went black. As if he was dead.

'Rayman now stood in the village fires around him bodies of teensie's on the ground and ly crying on the ground in front of him. and he took out his knife and drove it into her back. she did not scream she did not care she fell to the ground silently. and so did he when he plunged the knife into his own chest'

Rayman jumped awake, head aching madly. crying from his nightmare the worst hes ever had. Then remembering he had to meet ly at her house he tried getting up but with the world still spinning he simply fell back down.

he heard the bush rattle behind him and turned around only to see ly come out from behind the bush, "Rayman I'm so glad I finnally..." she began but Rayman cut her off when he jumped up and huged her like a 5 year old and their mom.

Ly could feel the darkness in this hug 'its running through him' she thought 'just waiting to be let out. the end of the world has already begun'

Chapter 2
Rayman was now sitting in ly's house with an ice pack on his head to help the throbbing pain from his blow. apparently he hit his head off a rock after slipping in the mud.
"Rayman I'm afraid we have a problem" Ly said quietly and quickly, surprising Rayman since they were sitting in silence for although seeming hours, was only 5 minutes. "can't the world go one day without there being a problem" Rayman said sarcastically. 'although its true' he thought silently to himself

And it was true in the past week he had to rescue two teensies from a fire, rescue the same two teensies who got lost in the forest even though they were 5 feet away from their house, stop razzoff that nut job hunter who decided to go hunting for some teensies around the glade, and some lady dropped her baby off a cliff. And although it was rainy he thought the day would be a break but so far its been getting worse and worse.

"Its worse then what you might think." Ly continued to speak in a soft calm tone. "I'm afraid a dark presence has entered this world. I felt it when I woke up this morning and its been getting stronger and stronger. I'm afraid I know what it is." Rayman now lifted an eyebrow in curiosity. "I believe you know of a certain Mr. Dark" Rayman stood there shocked. but then one question came over him "how do you know about Mr. dark?"

Rayman stared at her waiting for an answer. But while waiting he noticed her true beauty, and how much he really loved her. He saw the moonlight coming in through the window reflecting off her dark purple hair, and sparkle in her calm green eyes. He had loved her since he first met her and ever since. He remembered the day she found him under the tree. they were both only 10 but she gave him a home until he got his own place. He still rely's on her often. And she has been proved to come in handy often.

Then she met his stare their eyes met and for Rayman nothing else mattered at the moment. she spared him a quick smile then her eyes grew cold and serious once more. "I'm bettila's cousin" She finally answered. And Rayman reacted in two ways. The first way was that he got up grabbed a cup of water drank some then spit it out all over Ly. Then ignoring her disgusted look he sat back down tipped the chair backwards landing on the floor with a thud.

Rayman stumbled onto his feet feeling slightly dizzy. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?" he practically shouted. "I wanted to wait for the right time until I thought you were ready." she paused then added "I guess you weren't. but anyway after she sent you here she got into contact with me and told me what to do. She sent you here because she knew Mr. Dark was going to strike here next. And its your destiny to stop Mr. Dark. even if you have to travel from world to world following him he must be stopped. Otherwise his goal will be meant and that goal is to surround the universe in complete darkness."

"why me?" Rayman asked. and ly said because your son to the last protector, the Magician." Rayman took another sip of water and spat it out on her. Then before he could fall backwards on the chair she caught him. "WELL GOT ANYTHING ELSE TO TELL ME!?" Rayman now getting more angry that this was all kept a secret from him for so long. "Well Mr. Darks main target is you." she sighed deeply knowing that Ray wouldn't be happy till he knew it all. "he's going to try to turn you evil so you can bring the destruction of your own universe." She now noticed that Rayman never looked so scared. "But we do know how to stop Dark.."

Before she could finish a voice called out. Almost as a cold dark whisper. And it said only one sentence. "Did somebody call my name!" Rayman knew this was Mr. Dark. But before he could say anything the window smashed and glass flew all over them. Rayman sheilded his eyes with his hands careful not to get glass into them. And when he took a peek at the window he say Mr. Darks figure standing there his long clock flowing in the wind. "Hello Rayman" he said with his horrible sounding hiss. "its been a while"

"what I thought you were afraid of me!" Rayman shouted as he threw his fist as hard as he could towards Dark's face.
But he caught it without any effort at all and snarled "I believe its you that should be afriad of me Rayman"

Ohh...Ray as the Magician's kid, and Ly as Betilla's cousin? Neat ideas, I'm also excited to see Dark...though he should REALLY learn manners. XD

Getting interesting now, I'm awaiting the next part. 83

Chapter 3
Globox struggled to open his eyes, although feeling felt weaker then he ever had. He felt natous, dizzy, scared, and in itch on his back at the same time, which is not a good combination. When he finally managed to open his eyes all he could se was white. But the whiteness slowly started turning into merely a blur. Globox was putting more pressure on his eyes desperate to see his surrondings. Soon the blur was starting to go away and he could feel his normal vision returning to him.

What he saw caught him entirely off guard. first thing he noticed was that he was in a brown sack. There were small holes all around the bag. most likely to give him air or were punctured in the bag over time. Globox peered through one to see where he was but could only see trees and bush pass by. *man plants sure do travel fast* Globox thought. Then he realized that plants aren't supposed to move at all. Globox concentrated more and more and realized that the bag was swaying back and forth violently. obviously being carried by someone or something who was in motion. And was in a rush to get where they were going.

Globox was at first scared by his discovery but that fear was replaced with curiosity. "Hello?" He tried, and waited but no answer came. "is somebody there?" he tried again. He waited for an answer but then decided to give up. About a minute later he was startled by the rather late reply. Which was an unpleasant "Shut up you worthless idiot." A voice Globox had heard before. After a few seconds of thinking it came to him. "robot pirate" Globox whispered under his breath.

He wanted to scream, He wanted to shout but after taking a look out another hole he realized he was far from any part of the village and chances are no one was around to hear him, or get there fast enough to help him. The robot was fast for a machine. and could easily outrun almost everyone he knew. It would only make the robot angry, and that’s the last thing he wanted to do in his position.

He thought about starting a conversation but it would have been a short one. The robot pirates were very strict along their business and if there was a job they had to do they would find no distractions until the job was completed. So he decided to do his best and make himself comfortable until the ride was over. *well on the bright side I can get some thinking time in* he thought and leaned back to start thinking.

He thought about his life. His parents they died when he was 5 and he was raised by a group of teensies. Het met Rayman when he was 11 and Rayman was 9. At first he was afraid of him but before long they were great friends and Rayman had saved his butt more times then he could count.

but now he was alone and no one could save him but himself he had to think fast to cause in the distance he could smell oil. Which only met more robot pirates. Which meant the thing he feared the most. he looked through a hole and saw what seemed to be an exact replica of the prison ship. he saw dozens of robot pirates roaming around. He saw his escort take out his communicator. he heard him speak into it "I have him." the reply sent shivers down his spine a voice he hated more then anything. "take him to me" the voice replied and the robot pirate said the most dreaded thing yet. "As you wish captain razor beard"

Globox wished he was dead.

Razor beard was quite proud of himself. One of his idiotic henchmen finally did something right. And things seemed to be going his way. "At last I finally got my hands on Rayman again and this time I'm not gonna let him go!" he shouted feeling so happy.

He pored himself and his first mate ,baba, long tall glasses if oil. :here's a toast to finally getting something done!" Razerbeard cheered. then hearing a knock on the door he threw all evidence of his pre celebration out the window and sat in his big chair waiting for his henchmen and prisoner to come.
his henchmen walked toward the desk slow full of pride and handed the brown bag to the captain awaiting further orders.
razerbeard opened the bag expecting to see Rayman but what he saw made him angry beyond belief
He saw a crying Globox and no rayman
"private"
"yes sir?"
"have this idiot excucuted then deactivate yourself"
there was a moment of silence
"as you wish sir"
Globox gave one last whimper as he was carried out of the room.

Thanks ive been trying to add more detail each chapter to make the story more interesting and to give you guys better visions of wats going on.

which is what my main goal is for the next chapter is detail. ive also been trying to take more time to use spell check and grammer check.
so expect the next chapter to have some more improvements which might take more time then usual depending if i feel like improving it.
