I've tried a demo, but it didn't work very long. AND it messed up my computer. I wouldn't try to install the full version if i were you.

Re: Rayman 2
Don't worry... I have no way to install the full version. Mainly because when you put the disk in, the installer never works or shows up.

Re: Rayman 2
Is your atorun on? If no, that is normal. Go into disc directory and run... err... I don't remember file name. I think it is setup.exe.
And if my parents would like to experiment on their notebook, I think I will try to install R2.

Re: Rayman 2
Thing is, auto run nor the setup will show up, period on Vista from the Rayman 2 disk.
Re: Rayman 2
Jano is their master and that he does magic huh? Maybe he splitted into two little guardians. And if anyone doesn't beleive me that he knows magic, then just play Rayman 3 Gba version or watch him create skull platforms in any version of Rayman 2.Hunchman801 wrote:Mini-Janos are common enemies, but I had never seen them with hats.

Re: Rayman 2
Hi, posting from Megan's (Pyra's) laptop.
RRR is great, but takes away in some aspects. It's really quite comparable to Half-Life 2's SMOD in a lot of ways now that I play it again. Add in more maps, weapon abilities, and weapons for no damn reason beside attempting to add length and difficulty.
I've been playing RRR from Megan's PS2, and now that I look at it, to be honest, the story flow isn't as good. The gameplay is great, but the voice acting and flow of the story with the rearranged levels seem... meh. Really, in terms of story and "voice acting," Rayman 2 was perfect. This kind of screws it up a little.Xenon09 wrote:In my opinion, Rayman Revolution is better than Rayman 2.

Jano: Hehe! What a family i have.
me: oh shut up
Jano: why don't you shut up for once?!
me: Oh yeah, then why the f**k did you c**p one of your stupid brews to keep me from being quiet?!
Rayman: Calm down! Calm down! Calm down! CLAM DOWN-both of you!
Globox: It's finally time i drink more plum juice.
Andre: yeah, it's been a while
me: good thing your second game hasn't been forgotten yet.
Rayman: It never will be.
jano: i'l keep my family from anymore madness-goodbye..
me: and good riddence to this swamp!

Re: Rayman 2
Yeah, but at the same time, things are in different orders as well. Plus I think Bzzit (or Moskito as you'd have it) was better as just a hidden character thrown in for reference (much as he was in BGE) rather than someone brought forward with a side quest of their own. Same with a lot of the other story bits Revolution brings forward. It was great having the air of mystery that was in the original R2.

Re: Rayman 2
bzzit is one of the things i'm talking about; it gives you a reason for why going to the bayou gets you to the sanctuary of water and ice.

Re: Rayman 2
And the generators give you a reason to go to the Precipice and the Echoing Caves.
Re: Rayman 2
But in the original R2, you also had that scene with the teensies. "You have collected enough lums for us to open a new door for you." It played before every sanctuary, and it made it seem more magical to me.
Bzzit seemed kind of... random.

Re: Rayman 2
R2 easily owns RR tbh.
