What languages do you speak/you would like to learn?

I of course speak English as my first language, I took a year of Spanish a few years back, and I am currently learning Finnish.

my first language is english, at school i did a touch of french german and japanese and a year of indonesian. i tried to learn french here, but it didn't work out to well. i would still like to learn it though.

My first language is Norwegian. I dare say my English is rather fluent. I also speak a tiny bit of French, though it's far from good and if I ended up in France now I'd probably die. I really want to learn to speak French good, though, but it's hard.

I also understand Danish and Swedish alright, and they have no problems understanding me.

what?! you know lots of languages. i guess it could get like that in europe, so many small countries bunched up together... alot of people would need to learn another language if they wanted to talk to their neighbours.

I speak French and English, but I've also studied Italian for several years, which means I can get by, and one year of German. I hope I'll be fluent in Italian and German by a few years. Then, I may learn Spanish too.

My mother language is obviously English, but I have learned German for 5 years, which has helped. I also learned French for 2 years, but I'm not fluent in French.

I'm Polish. As you see, I try to speak English. I learnt French for 4 years, but French teacher was also our main teacher, so I can't speak French at all.

And, Limely is right, because Norwegian, Swedish and Danish (yes, Holy Crap, Danish pastry) are very similar. I know only a few words in Norwegian, but most of them are same in Swedish.

I'm still trying to learn French even after I've left school, but where could I put it to good use...

I may have to try and learn Polish actually, because we have a lot of Polish immigrants on my turf and half the time you can't make out what they're saying.
