What's funny is that John Romero claims that that "bitch ad" wasn't his idea...

However...

There was a hand-written invitation to the Daikatana LAN party at E3 for sale on eBay. His own hand-writing said, "Are you ready to become John Romero's bitch?" :hinhin:

Super Paper Mario, now that I finally have it. :B Enjoying it so far, though I think The Thousand Year Door is a pinch better.

Someone's got some explaining to do! I haven't heard much about what he's been doing more recently though.

Speaking of the not-so-hot ones in the industry, I hear Jack Thompson, the guy who throws fits over all those "murder simulators", is facing possible 10-year disbarment. I heard that there were 27 rule violations done by him and now they plan on putting him out for the next ten years.

Ahaha, I have a friend who hates Jack Thompson with a passion. I don't know how many rants I've endured about that guy. To make up for it, mentioned friend stays with me when I rant about Ubisoft and their shovelware.

I can't imagine how an RPG can be better than a platformer (unless the platformer is a 3D Sonic game, of course :hinhinhin: ).

Oh, and i've been playing some Halo 3 at one of my friends. The aiming system could be better, but it's still very fun.

His current project is an MMORPG by the name of "Dominance War" that, in his own words is, "a World of Warcraft killer."

John John John John John....

Don't make that mistake again... you said that Daikatana would be a "Half-Life killer." :tssk: I have to admit that the concept art for the characters are pretty awesome though. http://rome.ro/smf/index.php/topic,6024.0.html At least they got some nice art talent going into this game.

I'd agree to that. Maybe he still does have it, or maybe it'll flop. Given the difference between the impact of Doom and the impact of Daikatana it's hard to say, though at least the artists have some good ideas going into it.

Yeah, last time with Daikatana, he had artists that had no experience with video games before. They had textures for arrows that were 1024x400 pixels in size. I'm willing to give him a glint of a chance though, just to see if he's learned from his mistakes or not. If not, maybe he was just that way all along, and it was John Carmack cleaning up after all of his mistakes. :?

On another note, I just downloaded Eclipse mod for Half-Life 2 once again. http://www.eclipsegame.com/ It's really fun, and it can show how flexible the Source Engine really is. The only thing about it is that it's short, because the team's development time allowed was only like... 2 or 3 months. I mostly love it though because they achieved a nice magical atmosphere.

I'm currently playing Football Manager 2008. I'm totally addicted. My total game time just rounded 11 days (264 hours).

After scouring every store that sells computer-games in my area with no luck, I finally ended up having to errr... aquire Psychonauts by alternative means. I guess it moved pretty far up on my list of favourite games pretty fast. It's awesome. And the style is so lurvely. x3
