Re: Introducing topic
Yeah? I think the only thing that makes me sick just at the thought is those low-grade sausages that some restaurants have. I nearly threw up one time.
Re: Introducing topic
That sucks. I don't really ever eat sausages.

Re: Introducing topic
I haven't eaten a real sausage in years. And admittedly, I miss the ones I used to eat before I went veggie.

Re: Introducing topic
We had a load of health scares involving beef a good number of years ago, and over the years I bumped into some nasty documentaries about how meat is produced and shit. Do your farms let their pigs and chickens roll around in their own shit?
Eh, I only ate processed meat anyway, like turkey dinosaurs.

Re: Introducing topic
In France, we have real farms, and very good quality meat, so there's no reason to go veggie xD

Re: Introducing topic
I'm cool with people that still want to eat meat, all I don't want is everyone shoving it down my throat like it's a crime to be vegetarian. I also condemn any of them PeTA fags that try and use violence to get their views across, they're usually the ones that give us a bad name.

Re: Introducing topic
I'm like...85% vegetarian. Some meat just totally disgusts me, and if I were to have a choice, I'd rather have a celery stick than a pork chop. It's a matter of personal preference really. If someone I know is vegetarian, or vegan, I respect that. Just don't pop in the slaughter house DVD and try to change my views. That's just low. DX (Yes...I've seen people do that)

Re: Introducing topic
All of the slaughter house documentary stuff I saw was seen by chance. I was never shown any at school, but my poor sister, not only did they show her that sort of crap they also took her to the butchers department in a supermarket. It's safe to say though that despite her thin build she eats a lot more vegetarian meals than I do.

Re: Introducing topic
A lot of the 'meat scare' documentaries are over-exaggerated I think...

Re: Introducing topic
my history teacher is a vegetarian. he watched a movie about playing with peoples perceptions, which the meat industry supposedly does.
the movie went like this:
it starts showing an autopsy being carried out. immediately, alot of the people watching started vomitting and leaving the room and disgust. but slowly, they got used to it, and people started coming back in and watching it. but then later on, people suddenly started throwing up again and leaving. you know why? in the middle of the film, the filmmakers started editing out any shots that showed the person's face, but then started putting them back in later on. when they didn't have a face to put the cut up body to, it wasn't as disgusting. but when they did...
