Re: Pirate-Community
£45 is the maximum here for console ones, and I've seen a DS game cost £40 [usually £30].

45 pounds that's like........$110!! yikes, the max here is about $100, and that's uncommon.

Tell me about it.
There's still a few things I like about Britain but nowadays there's a lot I don't like about it.

Re: Pirate-Community
an australian comedian once said (in a routine) something along the lines of: "i recently went to britain, and i remember thinking, 'wow, if this is the place britain sent their convicts to for punishment, imagine how beautiful the motherland must be'.........eh...it's not."
Re: Pirate-Community
Games just cost way to much now.
Not that I have bought any recently.

Re: Pirate-Community
I guess the UK is also subject to massive immigration, like France.
Re: Pirate-Community
Yeah, seriously. Games are getting uber expensive, Halo 3 was $130 for me, and Orange Box was $70.

Re: Pirate-Community
This is exactly why I try and get them preowned whenever I can, or at places like boot sales, jumble sales and charity shops where you can get BARGAINS!

Re: Pirate-Community
We normally wait until they're not only used, but the value has gone way down in price. My boyfriend is waiting on Mass Effect.
Re: Pirate-Community
$130 for Halo 3? Seriously? O_o; eBay lol?
The only games I bought launch were Psychonauts and Beyond Good and Evil. Both for PC. I still love PC gaming just because the games aren't overpriced.

Re: Pirate-Community
When it comes to awesome games like Resident Evil and Golden Sun, I usually buy them on launch day. That's what my brother did for GTA4.
Re: Pirate-Community
Well it was the Legendary Edition. Man Psychonauts is a great game, I can't wait until they make a sequel for it.Phoenixan wrote:$130 for Halo 3? Seriously? O_o; eBay lol?

Re: Pirate-Community
I haven't tried Psychonauts, but I hear it's good... Maybe I should keep my eyes open for it.
Re: Pirate-Community
I don't think a sequel is in the works. Right now, Double Fine is working on a Rock Band/Guitar Hero/RPG kind of thingy for PC, 360, and PS3. Not Wii just because Nintendo still hasn't given Double Fine their seal of approval or whatever. Psychonauts was supposed to come out for GameCube when it came out, but Nintendo doesn't seem to trust a lot of new-born game companies. :\Jman wrote:Well it was the Legendary Edition. Re: Pirate-Community
I find it silly how Rock Band is blatantly stealing Ideas from Guitar hero. It's just not working for them.

Re: Pirate-Community
I'm personally sick of these fake instrument games. You could buy the real deal + lessons for the same price as the game.

not really

Re: Pirate-Community
Considering kids are buying every version as they come out, yes, I am correct. I've seen people who own every guitar hero game, plus rockband.
