Very interesting... Shouldn't you press "never played it" here? Or are you game developer?megajbb wrote:rayman 5.16 years.

Re: Rayman's age
If Rayman was 3 in Rayman 1, then i'm gonna laugh of Mr. Dark forever!
Check this out:
Rayman: 9
Rayman 2: 13
Rayman M: 14
Rayman 3: 16
Fits pretty well, doesn't it?
(I'm not counting RRR.

Re: Rayman's age
rayman's voice in r2 was definitely not one of a 13 year old. i don't understand why people think rayman would be so young. he was as tall as all the adults in rayman 1, and there was a kid who was far shorter.

Re: Rayman's age
In the TV series Rayman was driving a car, and we all know that the legal driving age is about 16 or 17 in some countries [I only know those in the US and UK so sue me
]. I don't know why you all think he was that young in Rayman 1, do remember that he seemed to have lived on his own as we saw in the intro of said game. And when he said "no problem", that is definitely not a kids' voice. Perhaps teenager, but I don't know.
For any character to be a teenager is greatly clichéd anyway.

Re: Rayman's age
That, somebody drives a car, doesn't mean he/she does it legally.StaceyW wrote:In the TV series Rayman was driving a car, and we all know that the legal driving age is about 16 or 17 in some countries [I only know those in the US and UK so sue me]. Re: Rayman's age
And the "no problem" thing sounded completely computer-generated. Sonic said "Sonic Jam" at the end of the intro to Sonic Jam on the Saturn, and it was computer-generated. He sounded like some steroid-pumped female body-building with bad English skills saying "Donic Dam!" (Point is, it's not a good representation given what it is and the time) Then again, the light, fluffy feeling of Rayman [1] does not have to make an infant either...

Re: Rayman's age
yep, i'll agree there.
Re: Rayman's age
This is my view:
R1: 13
R2/RM: 16
R3: 18
RRR: 18
Having said that it's impossible to put an age on a fictional character.

Re: Rayman's age
Ahem... *scratchess my ass* in Rayman 3, there's a R1 styled minigame called 2D madness. In the description, it's written that Rayman likes thinking back at being a KID, when everything was in 2D. I notice lots of these tiny things.StaceyW wrote:In the TV series Rayman was driving a car, and we all know that the legal driving age is about 16 or 17 in some countries [I only know those in the US and UK so sue me]. Re: Rayman's age
Yes. We compare his looks to a human's at the given ages, though really Rayman could've been 500 in Rayman years in Rayman 1. It's unconfirmed and differs with game universe, so we are only guessing assuming that he aged humanly, and he probably doesn't.Xenon09 wrote:Having said that it's impossible to put an age on a fictional character.

EDIT: and r4, firstly that was just a bonus game. and even if you count that, teenagers can quite easily be considered kids.
Re: Rayman's age
Another factor is his voice, but because that's David Gasman's voice and not the 'Rayman voice', again it's impossible to make a clear judgement.foultzboyz wrote:Yes. Re: Rayman's age
Because he seems to think it's an awesome thought that near-babies would save the world. XP
Re: Rayman's age
He expects everyone to write "I agree" directly under each of his posts, which is slowly starting to piss me off...
