A Present And A Message [ TRACKS UPLOADED ]

Post by Droolie »

Hey there!

As most of you already know, I didn't have the time to work on the Rayman soundtracks anymore this year ( school year, I mean ), but... this is about to change! =D
Today was my last day of exams ( I'm so happy it's over! ^^ ), and I didn't have anything to do today, so I thought about you guys ( and girls ), and removed the stupid cracks from 2 Rayman Revolution songs ( a short one and a long one )! =D
And because I'm in a good mood, I decided to release the long one as a present already.
So, here it is! Enjoy!

If you've read the message, and you want to help, this is what you can do:
  • Search the internet for a program that removes all silence in a wav file ( which means something that does the things of the next thing you can do automatically.
  • You can also help me with cutting out the silence from a track manually.
Though for this, you need to follow my instructions…
    1. Download a music editing program like Goldwave ( which I have, but isn’t free ), Audacity ( free ), etc. ( only if you haven’t got one already )
It must be capable of zooming in a lot, selecting and deleting though ( but most programs can do that )!
    2. Download a *.wav file from the list that includes the remaining Rayman Revolution music.
    3. Extract the archive, and open one of the files with your music editing program.
    4. Zoom in on the beginning of a piece of silence, until you have something like this ( you have to zoom in a lot! ).
    Image
    5. Set the beginning marker on this.
    Image
    6. Do the same for the end of the silence, but set the ENDING marker at the end, not the beginning marker.
    7. Delete the selected piece, zoom out, play it to see if the silence is completely gone and the music plays fine.
    8. Repeat steps 4-7 for the next piece of silence. And so on, and so on…
    9. Save the file in *.WAV format! It must be Stereo, 16bit, and PCM ( just save it, don't convert it ).
    10. Use Yousendit to send the good *.wav file to my e-mail address ( [email protected] )...
Droolie.

Dude this is awesome! I thought you had just got tired of it since there weren't any new stuff going online.

i was just wondering if you'd put the ones you've done up there yet.
anyway, i could help except i don't have the right programs, but if you can convert them into wav files i can do it in cool edit pro.

They ARE wav files XD

Anyway, as I said, this afternoon I'll make a topic about what you can do to help, but here's something else I'm doing in the meantime:
I managed to extract the Rayman 3 music archive from the Gamecube ISO ( unreadable without the right programs ), but that file seems almost unextractable.
So I posted it on XeNTaX forums ( Game Archive Extraction ), here's the topic: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3067 .
I don't know if they're going to be able to do this, but if they manage to do it, we will have a Rayman 3 soundtrack WITH extra songs ( it's the gamecube version ) AND full quality. ^^

Great news, Droolie :) I'll see what I can do to help, but first, I'll add a script allowing you to upload music to our storage server. I don't know why it didn't work last time :|

He has a limited FTP access to PC's main server so that he can freely edit the RayTunes website, but he needs me to upload music on PC's storage server.

Don't go so fast, that's the second thing you can do ;-)
But you need to follow my instructions, which I am now typing.
