Re: Introducing topic
Why would french people call them french fries?
Re: Introducing topic
Maybe because that's the actual name. Like Swiss Cheese.
Re: Introducing topic
I prefer to just call them chips, lol.
Re: Introducing topic
Well chips are actually different. They're much thicker.
Re: Introducing topic
Yeah, but they're kinda the same thing, xD.
Re: Introducing topic
More or less so, indeed. I prefer fries though.
Re: Introducing topic
Same, they're more crispy and crunchy etc.
Re: Introducing topic
Yeah and don't contain the 'juice' that chips have. I hate that.
Re: Introducing topic
I've never had "jiuce" in mine.
Re: Introducing topic
It's in pancakes too. Surely you know that horrible aftertaste of liquid once you've swallowed a huge mouthfull?
Re: Introducing topic
You mean like oil, fat, or grease?
Re: Introducing topic
Probably. Anyway, the same happens with cakes, marshmallows and cheese.
Re: Introducing topic
I think I know what you mean. I think it is just your saliva that coats the food is all squeezed out when you chew into it and the saliva is infused the the flavour of the food.
Re: Introducing topic
I'm not sure I wanted to hear that, but thanks a lot for that detailed explanation :/
Re: Introducing topic
I found it quite disgusting, too. :s
