So I was playing some RRR2 the other day in my attempt to unlock all of the costumes (Come on, you all know the dress up part is the game's best feature) and to take a break from playing the awful voodoo bunnies minigame I replayed Spider Rabbid. I noticed in the opening intro that a sign read "Rabbid Street". That struck me as weird. Then I started thinking.
There are no humans in the world of RRR2. Yes they are shown at the beginning, but that was pre-invasion. They are shown in the shooter segments as well, but those are actually arcade games played by rabbids meaning that they are based on events in the past. Also in the backgrounds of many of the minigames are posters and such of rabbid-related paraphernalia like "Baaaah" perfume. Let us also factor that there is no plot to RRR2. Its supposed to be "Bunnies invade Earth, Rayman must stop them" but almost all of the minigames are more or less "Bunnies live their lives, Rayman hangs out with the bunnies cause he's bored or something". That doesn't make any sense now, does it?
However when you merge the two together, it all becomes perfectly clear. The rabbids were succesful in their invasion, and the setting of every minigame in RRR2 is a dystopian Earth where the Rabbids are the main species and humanity is gone. Rayman's role in the game is not being the hero, despite this being implied by the intro and shooting minigames. I believe that somewhere down the line the large numbers of the Rabbid invasion eventually won out against the poor limbless guy who was the only one working to stop them (Humans in RRR2 being more or less retarded and unable to fight back against the tiny bunnies.) and that Rayman was forced to become the Rabbids' slave yet again. This time however, instead of being stuck in some headquarters somewhere close to a picnic, he's imprisoned on an entire planet sprawling with bunnies (who are more or less in control of everything) making escape next to impossible. Basically in 1-player mode we're controlling Rayman being forced against his will to do stuff with the Rabbids and there is absolutely nothing he can do to save the planet and get home. Thats the most depressing thing ever.
So... yeah. I've probably played this game way more than anyone ever should. I need to go get some sleep.

Aren't you afraid of nightmares? But yes, when thinking on this, and if there are really no people in game except intro, you're right.Lijik wrote:I need to go get some sleep.
However... remember, when Germany invaded Poland, it started "building Germany" on West of it, however in Warsaw etc. Germans had simply a war. I mean, rabbids could invade "parts" of Earth... and have problems with rest.

Re: Something I realized about RRR2
You think the rabbids defeated Rayman? Are you mad!? Rayman could kill 50 rabbids at once, with a roundhouse kick. He probably EATS rabbids!! The idea of rabbids, beating up Rayman is sick! I'm sorry, but it just makes no sense...!
Re: Something I realized about RRR2
RRR1. Rayman gets captured with very little effort, and it takes him a full 12 days to escape a small coliseum. It is evidenced in the outro that escape was Rayman's primary objective since he more or less forgot about the baby globoxes after saving them (we never see the babies after Rayman rescues them until they are all shown being the Rabbids' playthings at the end) so its not like he was hanging around that long to save all of them. 12 days. Small coliseum. He even had trips outside of the coliseum and he didn't escape then.R4_121 wrote:You think the rabbids defeated Rayman? Are you mad!? In RRR2 we're talking billions of bunnies (replay the shooter minigames, there's tons of rabbids in the background being flown around that you never get a chance to attack) and the area this time is an entire planet. Yeah... I don't think Rayman really has much of a chance if he couldn't defeat them at the coliseum.

If Rayman could beat Clark, he could be Sergeui man, that's just pathetic.

Yes. Holy Crap is right, Lijik. You're overthinking it. Rabbid games are not supposed to make sense. They're supposed to be stupid and retarded. That's how they're planing to ruin the Rayman series.

Re: Something I realized about RRR2
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT RABBIDS.
They don't canonically exist. Rayman is currently relaxing in the Glade of Dreams with Globox and Ly and his other friends. He has been doing so since he beat Reflux. Rayman has never heard the word "rabbid". He has never even fought them, the events in RRR1 did not happen. Or in RRR2 . Or in the upcoming RRR3. The platforming games happened. The Rabbids games didn't.

It's not your discussion you can't end this.

I would have to agree. But it was kind already dead anyway.Kelvin12 wrote:It's not your discussion you can't end this.
