Rayman 2D sprites

Post by Marley »

Hi everyone. It's Marley here.

This new topic is a request for sprite contributions. I am planning to create some 2D Rayman games and I thought that this would be the best place to go.

Any sprites can be posted, but I am currently looking in particular for sprites of these characters:
- Globox
- Razorbeard
- Sssssam
- Purple Lum (yes, I really am looking for sprites of it)
- Clark
- Carmen the Whale
- Black Lums
- Matuvus & Tribelles
- Ninja Henchmen / Ninjaws (They're the Robo-Pirates with the bandanas which can teleport)

Please post sprites. It will be greatly appreciated.

There is a sprite in your sig, but i don't think you'll use it. You aren't even looking for Ly sprites.

I'd love to see robo ninja pirates. With the vanishing, stealthy energy ball and possibly homing missile firing.

So far I've got sprites or can rip sprites of the following characters:
- Rayman (in Rayman 2 style and Rayman 3 style)
- Ly the Fairy
- Murphy
- Robo-Pirates
- Zombie Chickens
- Various Hoodlums
- Grolgoth
- And a few others

I can probably construct some sprites of my own, but I've got lots to do at the present time. I could probably construct Axel and Foutch sprites from sprites of Rocky from Rayman 3 GBA as well as the pirates from the beta version of Rayman 2.

hahaha! Well, the sprite of Demon Ly is based on the sprites I plan to use for Ly, so technically yes.

There's a sprite-sheet of a Rayman 2 style Rayman done by "Buckethead" which I found on Spriter's Resource.
Here it is! (I'll need to edit it a bit though)

He probably didn't read anything but 'yes'. That's very optimistic.

When talking on sprites... I've got a question. Does anybody have program that save a movie from game picture by picture? I mean "Print Screen and Save Storm". On another forum (Free Lunch Design), a German human said something about app called "Anim Get", but there is nothing on it in Google...

EDIT: I've found it! Time to check what does it do.

Good comments everyone!
I've had more free time, so my current project has been continued, so "Rayman: The Darkness Returns" might be done next year.

I know, but I've got a lot on this year and am working on another game project... correction, 2 projects... at the moment.
My Rayman game is going to be quite good, but I want to get the other projects out of the way first.

That's why I'm looking for Rayman sprites. Apart from "Rayman: The Darkness Returns", I'm planning a Rayman Advance 2 & 3 project, and I'll need sprites for that too.
