Red monsters in Band Land
Good evening all!
As you may have noticed, I'm almost finished with Dream Forest and all related articles at RayWiki, and I'm about to start Band Land.
I was playing in Bongo Hills, and when I passed red monsters in the last part, I realized that there was no official name for them, as they aren't in Rayman Designer. However, they need a name. I know that most people have always called them Megazorgs, but I'm not sure whether it should be added in the wiki.
So, the question is, what name should we use (we would specify that it's not official in all cases)?

In a walkthrough I have, they're called the Big Red Drummers. Megazorg sounds cool as hell, though. Let's email Ubisoft and find out for sure!
As if they'd reply XD

Big red drummers? Sounds like a description, not a name xD But yeah, Megazorg is the only name I've ever heard of, and if there's no official name, we need something to refer them as

Re: Red monsters in Band Land
What if you ripped their sprites from the game? If you did, wouldn't the files automatically have a name, which would be official? ( That's how they found out the name of the G-Man from Half-Life )
Re: Red monsters in Band Land
Well Franks website has nothing about the red monsters in it. But I was wondering if we could ask him for his images where all the cages are held on the levels and put them in the wiki?

I'm afraid no one has done this before...spiraldoor wrote:What if you ripped their sprites from the game? If you did, wouldn't the files automatically have a name, which would be official? ( That's how they found out the name of the G-Man from Half-Life )
I remember emailing him about how he got them (I wanted to get a better quality version of them) but he wasn't able to help me. However, putting those pictures along with video walkthroughs would be a great idea, and someone should take care of itJman wrote:Well Franks website has nothing about the red monsters in it. Has anyone got ISO image of R1 for PS1 or Saturn? If so, you can check, are there any unknown names. However, I think everything would be like W2R4L1.spiraldoor wrote:What if you ripped their sprites from the game? If you did, wouldn't the files automatically have a name, which would be official? I have CUE/BIN files for the PlayStation version, but I don't know how to get the names from them.

Great! Have you got image mounter? DAEMON Tools, for example? Or Nero ImageDrive?

Re: Red monsters in Band Land
The developers must have referred to them as something while creating those sprites...

I say for now, call the Red Monsters, and include in the article something about us not knowing the correct name.

Re: Red monsters in Band Land
Red Monster sounds crap like hell, but I'm afraid this is the only solution we have. Yet mostly used, Megazorg isn't official at all.

How about Red Drummer? Red Monster is too...common. Megazorg isn't common enough. Red Drummer is...perfect.

Re: Red monsters in Band Land
Look at their hair and tatoos; they're clearly meant to be rock-star-type guys. And the ground they hit is actually a drum (duh, it's Band Land).
So: Red Drummer.
So: Red Drummer.

You get a point, even though I get one too
I think I'll call them Red Drummers after all.

<taking a look at Sonic Retro Wiki>
Let's call them Giant Standing Two-Eyed Steridized Maracassing Drummer.
