We were ahead of you when you didn't even have your 19th gold though.
Re: 2008 Olympics
Last time I checked GB had 19 gold medals and Russia 16.

Re: 2008 Olympics
Well, maybe it was another country then. We were three medals ahead of somewhere
Oh well.
Re: 2008 Olympics
Belgium has one medal in high jumping now
. She jumped 2.05 meter in one time
.
Belgium is a small country, so i'm glad we at least got one medal. Now let's hope that we get a Second one.

Re: 2008 Olympics
The 2012 olympics will be so fucking lame.
Re: 2008 Olympics
I'm definately gonna go to London in 2012 to see some of it live. I'll be 20 by then, and hopefully I won't be as poor as most students. XD

They're going to cost you £9,3 billion (13 billion €), thrice as much as the original budget. Good thing we lostStaceyW wrote:The 2012 olympics will be so fucking lame.

13 bilion in long scale or short scale?Hunchman801 wrote:They're going to cost you £9,3 billion (13 billion €), thrice as much as the original budget. Good thing we lostStaceyW wrote:The 2012 olympics will be so fucking lame.
If in long scale... 13'000'000'000€... this means so much money... 342€ for any Pole.... this means all the Poles would buy Xbox 360 Premium for each one including women, infants and oldbies...
Re: 2008 Olympics
Tromsø, a Norwegian city, wants to host the 2018 Winter Olympics. Already now it's clear that it will cost at least twice as much as they originally planned a couple of years ago.
Re: 2008 Olympics

Re: 2008 Olympics
It is normal. The olympics etc. can be only cheapy when... people are sitting on old wooden chairs, there are some herbs on bounds etc..Tobbe7 wrote:Tromsø, a Norwegian city, wants to host the 2018 Winter Olympics. Re: 2008 Olympics
Yeah, they beat Iceland in the final. It's a shame, I was rooting for Iceland. It's amazing that a (relatively) isolated island with only 250 000 inhabitants can make it to the olympic final in a team sport!Daminamax wrote:I think the frenchmen are the best in handball, aren't they ?
Re: 2008 Olympics
Yeah, but that is the only game where they managed.

Re: 2008 Olympics
9 billion? Fuck that. They get some of that by jacking up the bus fares, and everything here is extortionate as it is.
Re: 2008 Olympics
Yeah, I know. But it's still amazing.Daminamax wrote:Yeah, but that is the only game where they managed.
Re: 2008 Olympics
So, now, in France, everybody would play handball.
