I've recently obtained Paint.NET. (a few weeks ago.

Notice how a few of my recent images are transparent?

It's light and easy to use too. Really a good choice. And of course, it does handle transparency.

And it has helped me with my IAD images quite a bit.

Mind you, I don't know much about it yet. I'll have to get some online tutorial or something.

I'm in now, and everything looks so advanced compared with MS Paint! This layers business is very confusing, lol.

But paint still has it's advantages.

BTW, the layers thing can be used to make animations. But they have to be GIF.

How does the transparency thing work?

[Shawn]

You use the magic wand, click where you want it to be transparent, and click cut. You can set how much it can cut by setting the Tolerance level.

Thank you for that Now, this may sound like an obvious question, but how do you crop?

[Shawn]

Highlight something, click on "Image" at the top of the screen. Then, your first option should be "Crop to Selection."

There's other ways too, I think.

Hmm, I can't crop down the huge white background though. It seems to just resize.

You'll have to ask Hunch, or use the help forum. Cause I'm not sure.
