< liked the animated series.

It was good at best, okay to any other viewer, because it didn't follow the Rayman 2 plot it doesn't mean it had to, it was released before Rayman 2 anyways. Nobody hated Rayman 2 because it didn't seem like Rayman 1. It's not called, Rayman 2: The Animated Series or Rayman 1: The Animated Series.
Like Super Mario Bros. animated, it didn't seem anything like the game at all, but I liked both. Okay. SMB TAS wasn't that good but, still, Rayman TAS was decent, better if you don't care that it didn't relate to Rayman 1 or 2 at all.

< is not a big fan of the series either, but not because of the fact that it is not coherent with Rayman 2.

Even though I apprehend it as totally different from Rayman 2 and without any connection between both universes, which is obvious anyway, I found it all quite cheesy. The cartoonesque side can be funny and the characters may get more endearing than you'd have thought, but still, I wasn't convinced by those four episodes. I watched the English version by the way, for fear of the French dubbing being even more unbearable than Flips' squeaks.
