Re: Rayman...movie?
I'd like to try it when i have time. It's fun and you always learn something about something
Blender is a tough program for 3D Design so i'm looking for an easier alternative. And then i'll go fool around with it. Why not ?

I'm affraid that easier 3D programs are expensive. But who knows? Maybe you can find something cheap.
Re: Rayman...movie?
Google SketchUp
Dumb me, not thinking of that earlier
Are there good background makers here ? If i would start this project once i hope there are good ones

Re: Rayman...movie?
No backgrounds we make ourselves could be remotely as good as backgrounds ripped from the games.
Re: Rayman...movie?
Ofcourse nut, but they could be nice ^^

I could never get passed the look of their bulgy face cheeks.StaceyW wrote:In fact a load of early CGI scared the bejesus out of me.
And I'll add a little to the shit fest: If they make a movie, at least let it be based off the first game. That way, they can make a trilogy. AND so I can see Mr. Dark on a theater screen. But Ubi would most likely give him a voice actor that sucks deformed monkey balls, and he would probably be a comic relief villain.
Actually, they'll probably replace him with the retarded stock-villain known as Razor Beard. I hate that ass hole. Personality? My ass. You want to know some video game villains that have personality? Here:
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee56 ... llains.png
These guys actually fight their enemy. One on one. They have personalities. Razor Beard? Heh. He's as cliche as it gets. There's nothing special about him. Yeah, he enslaves the pathetically protected world of Rayman with an army of machines. But really, a fucking PIRATE? What kind of character concept is that? A PIRATE?!?! What the hell?! Maybe if he was just a simple evil dictator with a robotic army it wouldn't be so bad. But no. They had to make him a weak defensless pirate with nothing to fight with other than a robotic suit bought at the last minuet. Ubi could've given him some "transforming-into-an-ultimate-robotic-final-form" type of body. But no. He doesn't even have two legs for pete sakes, and look how tall he is!! It's a mystery how he is telling anybody what to do. Even a five year old human with arthritis could tear him apart. What could he do?!
Stick to the real Rayman villains. Mr. Dark and Andre.
Now I'll shall watch you all squirm with anger. Especially spiral. He's going to throw a hilarious hissey fit. ooooo, I cant wait! Grr! Grr like there's no tomorrow!

Re: Rayman...movie?
Yeah...Andre.....because naturally a fly is more dangerous than razorbeard....
Seriously, what do you have against Razorbeard? Your points aren't very valid, Razorbeard does fight Rayman one on one and he certainly has a personality. And you said it as though fighting one on one = personality. wtf?
On another matter, who are those other guys in that picture? I only recognise Bowser and that horribly ugly thing on the right.

Re: Rayman...movie?
I think Razorbeard is an original enemy. Unlike andré, he is wurse, he doesn't even control a machine to fight Rayman, he just bribed Reflux to do it for him. Razorbeard is an original enemy with personality and makes a good challenge, as is Mr.Dark.
Re: Rayman...movie?
Agreed.
He seemed dead serious about owning that planet aswell.
Mr Dark, well, Ubi didn't really put up alot of info so nobody really knows anything about him etc...

The one below Bowser is Popple from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (one of the best GBA games ever).Holy Crap wrote: On another matter, who are those other guys in that picture? I only recognise Bowser and that horribly ugly thing on the right.
Admiral Razorbeard is awesome.. Mr Dark is a classic villain though. Andre? I dont like him much, especially as the main villain.
A Rayman movie is highly unlikely nowadays. I like the animated series though.

Re: Rayman...movie?
Oh man I have to greatly agree there, I'm totally psyched to have heard about a 3rd Mario & Luigi coming. =Ddingodile555 wrote:The one below Bowser is Popple from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (one of the best GBA games ever).:
back on topic: Well, to be perfectly honest, I thought Mr Dark was the most serious of the villains, until he pulled out right at the last minute. Razorbeard and Andre have had comic relief added to them [Razor for simply being a midget pirate].

Re: Rayman...movie?
I read that it's only coming out for the new DSi, do you know if thats true?
I've been stuck at the pirahna plant boss at the airport for AGES. The pain. But before that, I was on a role. One of the best games I've ever played.
Mr Dark was a great villain. To be honest, I didn't like his boss fight in the GBC version. The scenery and all was great, but I thought it was an anticlimax, and I thought it was a better ending in the other versions when he fled once Rayman got his fist back. And it meant he could come back in the next game and probably would have if they hadn't changed to 3D and created the new world.

Re: Rayman...movie?
Yeah. It would be SUPER cool to have him return, or even make a cameo appearance. Infact that would be awesome, but only if they get off their asses and spare some cash to satisfy their fans.
Re: Rayman...movie?
Woah, you think I was being serious? Didn't you read the words at the bottom of my post?Holy Crap wrote:Yeah...Andre.....because naturally a fly is more dangerous than razorbeard....![]()

NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY!
Anyways, i think all the Rayman villians are good. Razorbeard and Andre are the most original imo, but Mr. Dark is a powerful wizard, and that kinda makes up for it. But i still think Reflux beats them all!
Re: Rayman...movie?
I Prefer Mister Dark.
Anyway, i'll keep my eye for more information on this...Rayman film.

Re: Rayman...movie?
I didnt really like Reflux too much. He doesnt seem like a Rayman character, y'know.. But he cut it.
I've yet to face him (or his clone, whatever it is) in Hoodlums Revenge though.
It'd be cool if, in Rayman 4, all three villains were present. Even if 2 of them only made cameo appearances. It would be pretty epic, but Ubisoft dont give a shit about their fans.
