I agree that because of the scoring system Rayman travels back in time, it is unlogical in Rayman 1 and 2 tough.

In Rayman 1 he actually walks back to previous levels. In Rayman 2 he uses the Hall to teleport back to previous levels. In Rayman 3 the player goes back in time to the point where Rayman first went to those levels and takes control of him again.

Unless the Hall of Doors is also a time machine, Axel and Foutch are still alive.
And when you beat Foutch in the PS1 version, he releases a Spiral Door instead of a Purple Lum, and you jump into it to end the level. So the events with the mask and Polokus don't repeat themselves. So Rayman hasn't gone back in time. So he is refighting Axel and Foutch in the present, not the past. So they live on. Logic is staring you in the face, in the form of a post by spiraldoor. Acknowledge it.

I was using R3 has my example, and it would actually be illogical. The whole replayability factor would be lost, and this would be pathetic if there's a score system.
