Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
The way I see it, they simply use their power to control the suit, rather than transform into it. That would be easier, if anything.
Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
But why wouldn't they just transform into the Hoodlums? That would be the most simplistic.

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
How would a full transformation be easier than just hosting a suit? It's kinda like when a supervillain controls a giant killer robot.

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
Back to making levels.
Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
My turn! You're giving me the chance, so I take it! =D
Ilse of Polokus
Yellow Lum count: 0
Cage count: 0
Description/Walkthrough: The level is a test made by Polokus. Anyone who wants to reach him would have to prove him/herself first by undergoing three trials. You start off in a forest-like area in a misty and nightly atmosphere, stepping out of a portal into a small field surrounding you with large trees and mushrooms, like in the regular Dream Forest, but the mist will make it harder to see. There is only one path you can follow at first, approx 50 feet long with an animal passing by here and there, but soon the mist dissapears and reveals the road splits into three more paths, each of them leading you to another trial. The paths are part of each trial aswell, already partially testing if you can get to the actual trial.
Trial.1 (left path): Bravery
This trial is mainly made to test your courage. The path itself to the trial is more like a tunnel-like cavern. There is a split wall or a gap here and there, each spawning a random count of 1/4 Catterpillars or Zombie Chickens. A few gaps, which are considderably larger, spawn a Bone Claw (CoDB - the arms that swipe around) when you come near. After an approx. 2/3 minutes of walking through the tunnel, you'll find yourself outside in a large arena-like area filled with large boulders spread all over the field, which is the end of the cavern (looking like a large room with a huge hole on the ceiling. First off, 10 Zombie Chickens spawn one by one each 2 seconds, which you have to kill. After killing the chickens, two Catterpillars spawn in waves of 5 (making them 10) each three seconds, you have to kill these aswell. After killing all of the Catterpillars, a cutscene starts. The camera slowly zooms in towards the large hole in the ceiling. Revealing eight (yeah count that, 8 ) large, beady eyes which stare at you. Soon the beast crawls out of the hole, revealing it's a giant boss-like Tarantula (one like regular Rayman style spiders, but 20 times larger) You now have to fight that spider. The spider starts off with "spitting" poisonous webs at you. If you get hit, you take damage and can't move until you break out, which is done by moving around repeatendly. You can avoid them though, simply by running away from them. You must jump on the boulders to get on it's back, which is the weak spot of the spider. When you get on it's back, you can hit it once using a fully charged blast on a 'plaster' fixed on it's back. After that, you are forced to jump off it's back. The Spider will grow madder each time you hit it, eventually the spider webs can curve their tracks and follow you. After 3 succesful hits, the spider is defeated. And you are teleported back to the split road.
Trial.2 (right path): Agility
As the name says it. This trial stands for your speed and agility. The road is filled with vines, with an endless pit under you. You have to use the vine leaves to get at the end. However, this does not come with ease, because the vine leaver aren't strong enough for you to stay standing on, and they fall off after 1½ seconds of standing on it. There is also a timer which has only 3 minutes on it. If you don't make it before that timer runs out, all the vine leaves dissapear, and you take damage from the fall. However, you teleport back to the start, giving you another chance. When you succesfully reach the end, you come in another arena-like room with a large stone tree in the middle. Now the real trial starts: you will have to reach a treehut in 5 minutes, which is on top of the tree, using any branches and leaves you find, which aren't much. If you don't reach the hut in time, the tree 'retracts' its branches, forcing you to fall down and start over. If you win, you are once again teleported back to the split path.
Trial.3 (middle path): Wisdom
The last trial tests you mainly with puzzles. The road is made of large tiles, each tile has a question, which you have to awnser correctly ofcourse, most questions are Multiple-Awnser questions and ask about previous events in the game (i.e. What kept Ly captured at the Fairy Glade) Each correct awnser allows you to move to the next tile, but each wrong one makes you lose a bit of life. The road consists of 10 tiles overall. And when you reach the end, you once again find yourself in a room, and you are given 3 puzzles. The first one is a maze, in which the camera is put above you and you must find your way through the maze. The second one is a series of 15 sums. Each one is a bit harder than the last, but are overall fairly easy. The last one is a Crossword Puzzle, in which you need to find 10 words. You have 10 minutes to finnish all three puzzles. If you win, you are teleported back to the split road.
Once all three trials are done. All three paths close, and a portal appears in front of you. You are then teleported to Polokus.
(After each trial, your lifebar is restored to full.)

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
Name: Razorbeard's Secret Lair
Description: A very huge space with lots of secret halls and many trapped lums. An aboandoned pirate ship is in this room that can be used to cross a lava pool in the beginning of the Lair. The ship could be used whenever the player choses to by pressing R1 on a PlayStation controller or R on a PC controller (keyboard). The lair is much like a cave and has lots of rocks and plums and deep swimming pools. Razorbeard (me) lives at the very north end of the cave and guards the exit with the Grolgoth. After passing Rzorbeard (me), there is still more lair to pass. this is Mr. Draks new hideout. He also uses a Grolgoth, which he likes to call the Dark-Bot. he guards the exit, which has lots of butterflies and pretty lums. Ly is here, and will bring you to the Heart of The World when the player wants to. The middle is where Axel guards the final cage of the level. The player needs a power-fist which can be found to Axel's left, because he faces the player. (Read on to find out more)
Number of Yellow Lums: 400
Enemys in that level: Henchman800 (32 of them), Razorbeard, Mr. Dark, Gorrilla-Pirate(4 of them), Cannon-pirate Henchaman800(1 of them), Axel.
Number of Cages: 44
Music: The background music is like the music that plays when you fight the Hoodstomper in Rayman 3
Access back to Hall of Doors: Allowed after lava pool, denied after Razorbeard fight.

Version differences: On the Dreamcast and PS Versions the lava pool turns into water with pirahnas. mr dark turns into Fouch on the PS Version. On the Dreamcast version Dark turns into a flamethrower pirate.

Hmm, this topic is starting to stop.

Yeah, keep ideas coming people. I have an idea, but it's too complex and will take forever for me to type it.

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
It's a shame almost all levels are actually ramblings with hundreds of enemies, lums or cages. I should definitely try to find the time to create a real level.

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
i finally found an idea for another level
Name: The Lair of Despair
Description: INTRO SCENE:You are on Hawaii, and you venture into a cave in search of shelter and food. Instead, you find a large rock falling down to block your exits. Eyes are watching you from holes. The eyses jump out, revealing themselves to be Robo-pirates! LEVEL: The robopirates begin shooting at you right away, and you notice that they are guarding a ladder. you kill them all, and climb the ladder, up here, it is a little warmer and there are lavva puddles here and there. Up here there are cages. You can break them all, and dance with the last teensie and teleport up a level. It is hot up here (and i mean temperature). MORE robopirates and lakes of lava are a danger here. Kill all pirates and climb the spiderweb. Up here, lava is flying out a large hole in the top of the volcano, and there are large lakes of lava. You can gain the flying power here, but you lose it when you set foot on the beach. Open the cage and you will get your power. Use the convienient fan to get out from the hole, but watch out for the lava shooting up as you rise. One hit and the power is lost forever! You are out and you need a quick escape. Dont land. Use some fans and travel across the lava ocean, to the southern end of California. {TO BE CONTINUED!}
Number of Yellow Lums: 50 (11 cages, adding 11 to lum count)
Enemys in that level: Robopirate (200, 100 level 1 and 100 in level 3)
Number of Cages: 11
Music: Beach: Hawaii Music, Volcano level 1: Razorbeard fight theme, Volcano level 2 (cages): Fairy Glade Music, Volcano level 3: Knaaren Tunnels music from rayman 3, Volcano level 4 (out the hole!): Menhir Hills Shell Music, Volcano level 5: Flying to California (Flying across the ocean, and on the south tip of California): Madder, the theme of Rayman 3.
Version Differences: On Dreamcast, there is no volcano level 2, thus no cages. On PS2, you fight Fouch at the Out the hole! level, and he turns into a portal to california. Rayman 2: Revolution does not include the cages level, but in there place, there are red lums.

Re: Create a Rayman 2 level!
*bumps the topic*
I have an idea. It will use my 2 totally-favorite characters...
It will be a Rayman 2: Revolution exclusive.
Name: The Sanctuary of Wind and Clouds
Description: After The Iron Mountains you normally would enter some place with... ''ice blocks'', jump on them, and fight with Grolem 13, right? So, my version is different. After escaping the chicken-robot you go to the Teensies' Circle, and the Teensie says you need to find the entrance to the ''Sanctuary of Wind and Clouds''. Let's say it would be near the Pirate Mines. You enter, and there's a cutscene (the same one as on PS1, before the ''Sanctuary of Stone and Fire''
Razorbeard: I'm surrounded by incomptetents. I shall never be able to stop Rayman.
Ninjaws: ADMIRAL! I have returned, with more than 5,000 slaves.
Razorbeard: NINJAWS! You've come at the right time! I have a mission for you, a bloody mission...
Ninjaws: Killing is a pleasure. Command, and your will shall be done...
Razorbeard: I want you to bring me the body of this confounded Rayman!
Ninjaws: It is as good as done.
Razorbeard: Ha, ha, ha! Rayman is not long for this world! Ninjaws and his Ninja Henchmen will make mincemeat of him!
So, it's time to start the level! Rayman begins on... a beach. You have to defeat a Ninja Henchman (he acts the same as in Rayman 2 Prison Ship, the flamethrower etc.). So, defeat him and go forward. You'll see a big door, and the 2 pyramides (the triangles you have to throw the balls on). There are two paths with the balls. I'll edit later and tell you more about this.
after getting both balls and opening the door we arrive in a place that looks like a giant arena... and 2 Ninja Henchmen attack us. After beating them, Ninjaws appears and we have to beat him. After that, Grolem 13 appears and destroys something, so we can enter the... ''room'' from The Iron Mountains. We fight Grolem 13, and after defeating him the mask is ours, along with a lum.
Lums: 1
Familiar Spirits: 0
Version Differences: It's just on Revolution...
EDIT: @down - Dammit
totally forget
Damn me and my sucking memory
Anyways, when on the beach - the same one as in the beach in the ''Sanctuary of Water and Ice''.
When fighting Ninja Henchmen or Ninjaws - ''The Dogfight'' from Rayman Revolution.
The left path - ''Surrounded!'' also from Rayman Revolution, as Henchmen (the ones with the auto-homing missiles) would be falling from the sky, randomly.
The right path - ''The Cave of Bad Dreams'', as it would be... the-cave-of-bad-dreams-like. I mean... scareh.
The temple AND fight with Grolem 13 - d'oh. Find it on RayTunes. Fighting Grolem 13.
