Hm, I suppose there's something that you haven't done right...did you break all 50 cages on GBA, all 60 cages on GC, finish all minigames on GC, etc? I reckon it's something super-secret or something obvious that we're overlooking...

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
According to this, the Wii and DS have some sort of wireless connectivity, but I have no idea if a GC and GBA game can be connected through it.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
Yep, I've gotten all cages in both games, unlocked everything video and mini game previous in the Gamecube version, gotten 1000 lums in the GBA version, beat all 10 extra GBA levels, and beat every minigame on Gamecube including Mad Trax and Wheelis.
The only thing is on Mad Trax and Wheelis, a red circle doesn't appear next to the games when you beat them, even though I've beat them both multiple times. I think maybe they aren't supposed to have red circles because there is a Gameboy Advance symbol instead.
I don't know what I'm overlooking... it's really frustrating, especially since I can't find someone who actually has unlocked the other 2D Madness.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
I've tried that but it didn't work, on top of that you can't play GC games on a DS Lite.spiraldoor wrote:According to this, the Wii and DS have some sort of wireless connectivity, but I have no idea if a GC and GBA game can be connected through it.

Oh, about that screenshot of the Picture City 2D Madness, I think it is still somewhere... saved in the Wayback Machine.
( search for it here: http://web.archive.org/web/*sr_141nr_10 ... nzone.com/* )
EDIT -> Here are all the screenshots saved: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www ... reenshots/*
EDIT 2 -> ... And it isn't in the list. -_-

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
Sorry--haven't had time to check it. I might've had it, though over 4 years have gone by since I played the game and I really can't say off the top of my head. (I was also supposed to get a picture of Rayman Arena's Dark Rayman and I still have to get it...) Hopefully things will slow down by the end of the year.

Curses. We may never find the key to unlocking this secret.
Also, the cheats for R1 PS1 "may not work on the Platinum version of the game". Wonder if the Platinum version took out the exclusive music and present on the world map?

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
Only way to find out is to ask someone who has that one and then someone with the original 1995 version. I've only got the 2000 edition which came after.

Hey, I wonder if Dolphin (Gamecube emulator for high-end PCs) is compatible with VBA?

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
Ah, sorry I browsed it, but the picture was uploaded from someone's Photobucket account I remember. So it wouldn't have been on the site. I tried to make Archive.org go to the old 2d Madness 2 thread on Raymanzone but everytime I tried to search the old forum I either got an error or it just took to me to forum in present day. Oh Well.Drolpiraat wrote:Oh, about that screenshot of the Picture City 2D Madness, I think it is still somewhere... saved in the Wayback Machine.

Could the image still be on Photobucket?

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
It's possible but I'd have to be able to somehow get to the old post and find the link, which I don't know how to do on Archive.org because it keeps taking me back to the new forum with an error message.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
I used Google to search Photobucket for the word "Rayman" and this is what I found...244 references.
So there are 244 Photobucket pages that have the word "Rayman" on them. If this image is still there, it'll be one of the 244.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
I dont really want to go through a bunch of photobucket stuff, but I tried last weekend to figure out how to unlock 2D Nightmare/2D Madness 2 again but still no luck.
http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action ... id=2910011
I was mainly looking for this "final challenge" that is supposed to exist and see if I could get it unlocked, but to no avail. I even rebeat the game to see if it would unlock like the article says.
I'm not sure where you would download the final challenge, unless they mean the 1000th lum on the GBA version, but that was unlocked before hand because you can't unlock the 10th extra level on connecting to the Gamecube unless you have 1000 lums. I beat that level too multiple times and nothing happened.
Argh this is so frustrating. I e-mailed Ubisoft again but I bet they'll not care again.

I assume you've finished Ly's Punch Challenges, and any other bonus levels?

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
Actually, you can connect GBA to Wii. DS & DSL lack multiplayer GBA port, which is needed to use GC-GBA link cable. On point of Wii, you have no problem with these, as GC controller ports are keeped.spiraldoor wrote:According to this, the Wii and DS have some sort of wireless connectivity, but I have no idea if a GC and GBA game can be connected through it.

Anyway, I haven't got any console, but I'm really interested to the 2nd 2D game. As it is called both 2d Madness 2 and 2d nightmare, I suggest use of abbreviation - 2d2.
No, it isn't. There too many problems with GC emulation to think about details like this.spiraldoor wrote:Hey, I wonder if Dolphin (Gamecube emulator for high-end PCs) is compatible with VBA?
In case of mosquitoes, go to RayWiki forum to take a look about our discusion 'bout 'em. It's too messy to post it here.
And my question: Has anybody got R3 for Nokia N-Gage? If so - does the GC island appears there?
EDIT: Dear syn-something-gerbil, have you broken all 60 cages in R3?

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
To make sure I rebeat all of the punch challenges and Mega Havoc levels as well as the final lum challenge.
And in Rayman 3 on GC I do have all 60 cages broken, all murphy stamps, every movie unlocked, and every minigame beaten with a red circle next to it (except it doesn't appear next to Mad Trax or Wheelis for some reason no matter how many times I beat them... maybe it's supposed to do that?).

Well, it sounds like we have to give some money to developer of Action Replay.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
It could be possible to open up a Gamecube save file for Rayman 3 and alter it so that 2DM2/2DN has already been unlocked, although that would be bordering on impossible. Unlocking it the old fashioned way seems the only way possible...
Hm, since Ubi is obstinately ignoring your emails, perhaps you could ask one of the developers of R3 GC? They are pretty low-profile people, they might actually reply. And they'd definitely know how to unlock it; they created it. Getting our hands on their email addresses, now that would be a challenge.

Re: Q&A Versions you don't have
I tried searching for some of the lead designers actually a while back but I could not find a webpage or e-mail for any of them.
If you guys know the e-mails of any programmers, designers, or leads who worked on Rayman 3, I'd definitely ask them.
Ubisoft doesn't even seem to want to respond to me anymore now, since I don't even get replies saying "check IGN," maybe because I told them I didn't want that reply.
