I think those maps should have a red circle for cages and a yellow circle for lives.Hunchman801 wrote:Here, at the top of the flute.
Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
My favorite is Mr. Stone's Peaks because it consists of 5 interesting parts which offer different challenges and especially because of the rope-cutting part, which is always great fun and Stone who is my favorite boss.
Second favorite is Crystal Palace. It's the kind of level I really like with lots of jumping from stalactite to stalactite and with the rings in between.
Third favorite is Mr.Sax' Hullabaloo.

Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
Mr Stone is quite a challenge, as I consider him the hardest boss after Space Mama, except for Mr Dark indeed. Anyway, it's true that Mr Stone's Peaks is a nice combination of various situations and original gameplays: super helicopter, rope-cutting part, rising water, snowy level, tough boss, etc.

They don't make games like they used to.
Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
When I played for the first time, it was quite similar, but nowadays it's different. The only bosses that cause me little troubles are Skops and Dark. Stone is no problem for me, as I normally beat him without losing a single life but he is still fun to play.Hunchman801 wrote:Mr Stone is quite a challenge, as I consider him the hardest boss after Space Mama, except for Mr Dark indeed.
About Allegro Presto...How do you get to the secret spot with the four lives. I've tried running and jumping from the flute on the right but I didn't see any chance of getting there.

Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
It's not so hard when you know the trick. You must take advantage of that trumpet on your right and jump from the following platform, using your helicopter at the right moment, and you should just be able to hang onto the ledge. I remember trying to jump from the second platform (the one just before the cage) a lot of times, but it never worked.sfn42 wrote:About Allegro Presto...How do you get to the secret spot with the four lives. That bit is hard. And who expects to be killed by sinking water?Hunchman801 wrote:rope-cutting part

Thanks a lot. After some tries I finally managed. I believe I have found all the secrets in Rayman 1 now.Hunchman801 wrote:It's not so hard when you know the trick. @Holy Crap: I think it's easy. You just have to stay in the right position to be able to cut the rope all the time and when the birds are flying by, change from one rope to the other and they won't disturb you.

I think everything in Rayman is hard the first time. Except Mr. Sax. Mr. Sax is the easiest boss i've ever fought! Probably because he is stupid as a bucket of shit!

Mr Sax is nowhere NEAR as easy as Bzzit and Moskito! And Mr Dark isn't even that hard either. It's just the Space Mama/Moskito creatures that bug me on that boss.El Dango wrote:I think everything in Rayman is hard the first time. Except Mr. Sax. Mr. Sax is the easiest boss i've ever fought! I've always loved the forest levels best. When I was younger, I didn't even pass the Dream Forest. I love everything about that world. So my favorite level is Swamps of Forgetfulness. Lots of good parts in level. And Tarayzan.

Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
My thoughts exactly. Even when I managed to defeat the Space Mama things, I usually only had one health left and died shortly after.dingodile555 wrote:Mr Sax is nowhere NEAR as easy as Bzzit and Moskito! Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
Personally i found Moskito the hardest boss ( in moskito's nest ) Sounds crazy, i know, but Mr. Sax and Mr. Stone are both quite asy to beat, altough i found the last part in the Mr. Sax battle quite challenging.
Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
I didn't really have a favourite level. They were all good. Although Skops is my favourite boss in the game.

Re: Your Favourite R1 Level?
It's possible to take away up to 9 of Mr Sax's 12 health points in the second part of Mr Sax's Hullaballoo, so it's definitely one of the easiest bosses for me. However, I remember defeating Moskito without getting touched more than once, which means he isn't that hard either.
