Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
Oh man I love Maury's extreme phobia guests. :'D I love how patronising the set is when they show pictures of it on the screen behind them, and when they actually torment them with the real deal. It's one think if you're afraid of dogs, but being deathly afraid of mustard, balloons etc is just megalol.
If only they did this shit on Jeremy Kyle...

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
I find it a little mean to torment theses people like that, but it's just too hilarious seeing adults getting so childishly afraid of such harmless stuff.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
There was a women scared of buttons. She wouldn't go near someone with a shirt on etc.

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
People can be afraid of anything these days.
I'm glad I don't have a true phobia, one that makes me physically sick just even thinking about it. All the ones I ever had as a kid [oddly, 8bit Super Mario and the ITV Schools graphics from the 80's] have worn off now and I laugh at myself for it.
Death is what scares me the most these days, and going down escalators. I hate doing it so much.

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
I can't wait to see someone come on Maury with a fear of flutes. That just sounds so damn hilarious.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
Escalators are quite fun. Especially going down the up one etc. But I'm not so keen on lifts.going down escalators. I hate doing it so much.
I don't mind spiders though; the only true time I was scared (lol) was when I was in a cubical and this huge spider walked under the door, then charged towards me!
I sqwashed it.

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
Despite recurring nightmares I had about a massive spider chasing me, I'm not afraid of them at all.
I'll tell you another childhood fear, 3D cartoons and shit. I hated Morph, the Herbs, and the amount of schools programmes I was forced to watch that still haunt me.

I'm only hoping you watched Channel 4 stuff that was recorded after 1993.

Urrg, why did they bother??
Last year we got our share of Bill Nye the Science Guy before the summer. That was funny.

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
^ that guy. I use to be more afraid of him than I was of Satan. I use to have nightmares that led to crying, horrible fear, depression, and sleeping on my mother's floor. But, at the age of thirteen, I decided: Hey, if I'm ever going to get over this fear, I'm just going to actually watch the whole movie. First, I looked at tons of images of him (which, at the ages of 8-12, seeing one image of him for a split second was enough to give me nightmares.) and got use to what he looked like. And, surprisingly, it was pretty easy. It's like my mind was totally at ease with seeing several images of him. My stomach too. Then, I watched a music video of him with the song "Counting the Beat" playing in the background. (which was awesome.) Then, I watched the whole movie. And after it was finished, I couldn't believe I was afraid all this time. I had no fearful thoughts of that movie ever since. Maybe it was because I prayed? (God makes everything easy.)
Now, I cant wait to see the remake. I'm hoping that someday Pennywise will become a mainstream slasher fic icon, and will face off against Freddy or someone.
I only have a few phobias. Fear of deep bodies of water (lakes, oceans, that kind of stuff. Pools I'm ok with.) because Sharks aren't as nice as they say they are on TV. Spiders, because they're creepy, and are poisonous. But I don't flip out if I see one. Only of it's big, and on me.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
That clown looks funny. xD I find it unusual how you could've found him scary.
My mum told me once I must have a fear of being on my own, which I thought was pretty stupid as I like being in my room without any company etc. but I hate getting lost. Just hate it...

Point taken.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
Not only that, but his powers were pretty cheap too. (cheap as in: too powerful. Like Sonic in Brawl.)

Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
I was just looking all over Youtube for more Maury clips. It's not so funny when there are clips of the people overcoming their fears but it's probably good for them.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
I found it funny how they suddenly jump out of their chairs at the sight of something we see everyday. But you've gotta be cruel to be kind, I suppose.
Re: .....fear of cotton balls?
That guy that was afraid of peaches was pretty silly.

A grown man
I think the peaches that are fluffy are nicer personally.
