Ya know how on websites the text and images are all set up in a certain way? Chances are, the HTML coding made the page look like that. It's just how one codes a web page is all. CSS is used a lot lately too.

It looks similar to BBCode, only using <>s and more confusing formulae. I've never studied HTML though.

I gave up as soon as I found out that it's mostly set out differently on many sites.

When I created PC five years ago, I didn't even know HTML. It took me a few weeks to learn it, along with PHP, C and Perl ^^

Sadly my ICT teacher doesn't even know what mp3 format is, so there's little hope of me ever learning HTML, even if I wanted to.

Well, things may be different where you are, but in my ICT lessons we mainly learn about the advantages and consequences of using ICT, as opposed to the coding and filing I was expecting to learn about.

The only programming language I have ever learnt at school is Python, and I've read online tutorials for the others.

It was last year for me (somehow the equivalent of the third year after A-level for you).

If programming and coding isn't taught in schools, where do people learn the computing language and how can they gain the skills required to put this knowledge into practice?
