Re: Rayman 3
I can understand you, Xenon, but I stopped when I nearly got the first gem and I was full of adrenalin, I had to ease first.
Re: Rayman 3
lol, well that's also understandable. Combos get wrecked because I get so nervous about failing at the last minute. An example of this being the final combo in CF part 2.

Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, you proper had managed everything to get the Max, but then you remind there is the last combo in this Part, and he agitates you.
Re: Rayman 3
That's exactly right. Especially when the thought of 'oh no, I'm going to have to get that hideous glitch working again' crosses your mind.

Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, all these aspects bring you outta control.
Well, I just played TOTL on my Combo-Savegame (I want to check out whether the TOTL-Glicth works, ya know, the guy explained, he reached 105.999), and I turned two new little videos. I'm in the mood to film combos

Re: Rayman 3
It's certainly a cool video. I remember wrecking that combo so many times because I couldn't exit the walls, which was a rather humiliating reason for a restart.

Re: Rayman 3
Great video, I never managed to combo so many gems.

Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, that's my general method. But it works not everytime, on some places you have to pay attention because the combo can run out.
Re: Rayman 3
It's a good thing that these combos are not essential for the maximum, otherwise TOTL would be a lot harder, with all those little combos in the middle of the first and the second part.

Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, it would take us months to complete it. When you must manage very little bagatelle, it would be horrible. I'm so glad I've got max score in TOTL.
Re: Rayman 3
Me too, but I think I'll replay TOTL one day for the maximum. It's a fun level to play and the combos are not that stressful.
Re: Rayman 3
After CF I'm going to play TLOTLD again to get the maximum score. I want some calming down before I proceed to SBTC.
Re: Rayman 3
TLOTLD is also a nice level. However, I wish I had known about MandM's combos when I got the maximum. I would have been a lot easier.
Re: Rayman 3
Personally I thought parts 2-6 were too easy. Part 2 was slightly difficult, but once I mastered the Matuvu and Tribelle combo, everything else worked fine. Part 3 was easy providing everything went fair in the tower (this part was more of an annoyance than a difficult level). Part 4 was fun to play but very easy. Part 5 was good because it's the area where I got the maximum score, but again required no skills whatsoever. And finally part 6 was plain boring because no points could be gained in this area at all. However since TLOTLD is aesthetically scenic, I'll choose to play it after CF.

I find TLOTLD dead to be incredibly fun.

Re: Rayman 3
Oh no, I think I'll need ages for SBTC, so I had many stress. LOTLD is an easy level, so you can fast come over 835.000
To be sure, can you post all your scores in the individual levels, Xenon?

Re: Rayman 3
Sure. I don't think I'll reach 835.000 but I should get to 830.000.

Re: Rayman 3
Part 2 was a mess for me. At first the Hoodstormer shooting the balloons all the time and finally comboing that stupid Matuvu took me like a zillion restarts. If you go for the maximum score in this part, I would consider it one of the hardest in the game.Xenon wrote:Personally I thought parts 2-6 were too easy. Re: Rayman 3
Really? Maybe the balloon is more easily accessible for PS2 players then, I managed to make the jump on most occasions. I even found it easier than the jump required in TFC part 4, in order to climb the Meadowscrews without activating the Vortex.
