Hey, I never thought on this. Although it sounds unrealistic that you bounce up from the wall, a try is it worth.
@sfn: Yeah, it's all so in other levels, you managed big things, but then you fail on bagatelles.

I don't believe there is any way to make the green gem-combo easier. So many fantastic players tried to find ways to get it but they all failed. It will probably always stay a quest of luck and patience.

I've also explored alternative ways to trigger a launching glitch because I struggled with Mand's and DTUCC's, but I haven't prevailed here at all :( In other areas in part 3, if Rayman gets trapped between a corner he gets launched into the air, but sadly this isn't the case towards the end - Rayman just slides vertically down.

Ya know, every time when you land strange on an edge, you get most times launched. I can remind on a SBTC-Glitch. When you got the 2 red gems on the course, steer left, make some jumps and drive to the left side. Sometimes when you then make a rotation with the board you get launched and you fly height, over the Blockbuster and you can make a combo over 3.000.

The launching glitch in CF is still relatively new, the green gem, however, is there since 2003 and all the good players tried to combo it, most of them failing at almost every attempt.

Do you guys think it's a glitch that Rayman almost always never gets flipped high enough? It seems unbelievable that Ubisoft would decide to place a green gem at an inconceivably difficult spot, when all of the other green gems in the game are easily collectable.

I think they wanted to put some extra difficulties into the game, so they included that green gem and placed it horribly.

Really, it's already a challenge to get it in the air, but this is still the most stupid place, where the could place him. I could swear, I won't manage Part 3 today.

Yeah, but sometimes Rayman doesn't jump at all. Sometimes he simply slides off the cliff as if there was nothing there.

That's another annoying situation. Sometimes you don't have to jump even when you got the last yellow gem. It could be also useful when you wait a bit with the rotations.

It depends on the position you leave the cliff at, I think. When you use a wrong one you just fall down.

I didn't know this. Can you elaborate on 'the position'?

Sorry, I can't, I haven't played this level for such a long time that I don't remember the exact position. But I think that you must not leave the cliff either at the right or at the left side (I don't remember which one) because you always fall down there. If I remember correctly, the best position is something like middle-left or middle-right. It would be worth some investigation, that's for sure.

Interesting to know.
It means I could have boosted by TSBTC score by about 800 points. I remember giving up after x attempts because I became bored sick of the level. My final combo was only worth about 4800 points, which is just cringeworthy.

I must say, that I reach a score of 500.000 in the whole game...
Can someone tell me what these abbreviations mean? And a question: Does anyone get to the green gem in the Ice world while you race with the snowboard?

For example: TSBTC means The Summit Beyond the Clouds, that's the name of the Ice World you named
And the green gem: Of course we got already the green gem, it's only difficult to reach him.
Do you want to improve your score further?
BTW, your English is better than my. :P

TSBTC is short for The Summit Beyond the Clouds, FC for Fairy Council and so.

To answer your question, yes, it's possible to get the green gem in TSBTC part 3. You just need to find out where to jump. A good exercise would be to get the yellow gems first time you run through this part. Then make sure you arrive at the goal line after Globox so you can go through this part again. When you get to the green gem again you won't have the yellow gems distracting you and it is much easier to see where to jump and to get the green gem.

I used the close-eyes-jump-like-mad-pray-to-God method and it failed badly. It's interesting to know that there is a spot where it's possible to jump because around 4/5 of attempts were spent falling to the ground. Mind you, it still sounds like a horrible world, SBTC...

Good to know :) I asked, because I don't know the english expressions of the worlds in Rayman.

It's definitely worth a shot :) I regret not doing so for so many years.

By the way, here's the list of abbreviations you'll probably see a lot around here:

TFC: The Fairy Council
CF: Clearleaf Forest
TBOM: The Bog of Murk
TLOTLD: The Land of the Livid Dead
TDOTK: The Desert of the Knaaren
TLS: The Longest Shortcut
TSBTC: The Summit Beyond the Clouds
HH: Hoodlum Headquarters
TTOTL: The Tower of Leptys
