Re: Rayman 3
It had nothing to do with the posts before...
Re: Rayman 3
You know, people don't always read what has been previously posted and discuss a different matter.
Re: Rayman 3
The glitch topic would have been a more appropriate place to post this matter.
Oh well, at least it was Rayman 3 related.

Pricisly
I didn't really like the Bog of murk. I thought it was a bit of all the Rayman 2 Marshland style levels mized up together with nightime.

Re: Rayman 3
When you beat Razoff, the music stops and his house becomes creepy... :S I hear strange sounds in some places...
Re: Rayman 3
I thought Razoff's mansion was acually pretty fascinating.
Re: Rayman 3
Razoff (mansion) was my favourite boss until I began playing Rayman 3 for points...

Re: Rayman 3
This is why I killed it before jumping onto the balloons. The presence of this third hoodstormer in the PC version is, along with the two bonus hoodblasters, the reason why I got more points than it's stated in MandM's solution in this part:Xenon wrote:It seems unthinkable to try and combo the gems on the balloons after Hoodlums, especially when a darn Hoodstormer is constantly popping the balloons.
As concerns Razoff's mansion, what I love about it is that you can also see it from the outside in the swamps, which I find awesome as it helps us to situate it. My favourite level remains the Land though.Hunchman801 wrote:Here's what I have done so far (updated version):
-Kill the first three hoodlums in combo with a yellow gem. (670 points)
-Take all the remaining gems, kill the caporal on the ground, get the lockjaw, head towards the flying hook, turn backwards and kill the second hoodstormer, jump so that the third hoodstormer appears and kill it, jump onto the balloons, kill the second caporal on the upper platform, get the gem on the last balloon and the four gems on the tower. (3500 points)
[...]
There's way for improvement though: it's possible to get 180 bonus points by getting the gem on the seventh balloon before killing the last caporal, but I can't be bothered (the whole combo is tricky enough), and we also have the possibility to include the gems in the water. For example, I could start the second combo with them, then kill the caporal, but if I collect the gems on the ground at this moment, I won't have the time to head towards the flying hook so that I can kill the third hoodstormer in combo with the second one. It's not so much of a problem anyway, because I can include these gems in the first combo.
Re: Rayman 3
My favorite stage was The Summit Beyond the Clouds.
But my favorite parts of the game were the hoverboard sequences. They need to bring those back either as a minigame in a Rabbid game, or in the next Rayman platformer.

Re: Rayman 3
Yes I agree, it lets you freely explore the mansion but the lack of music makes makes it scary. What places do you hear strange sounds? Do you mean those small creatures chained to the walls?CheatCat wrote:When you beat Razoff, the music stops and his house becomes creepy... :S I hear strange sounds in some places...
Hoodlum Headquarters is a pretty good level, whenever I play it though I'm always just looking forward to the Razorbeard room inside the boiler.
Re: Rayman 3
Hoodlum Headquarters is my second favorite. Really feels like it'd show up in Rayman 2, has some great platforming sequences, and I love that female PA voice.
Re: Rayman 3
I find the DOTK very scary without any music.
Re: Rayman 3
Yeah, that was very different. But the only reason why TDOTK was a fav world was because you get to fight reflux for the first time. That's my fav boss in the game.
Re: Rayman 3
I find the first Reflux to be a somethimes rather annoying boss
Re: Rayman 3
I liked him in TDOTK, but in TTOTL the battles just became boring and repetitive. Plus his ugliness just grew and grew.
Re: Rayman 3
Haha
Well, the thing that annoys the heck out of me when fighting Reflux is that he always does the same. No variation. And then it's a hard one too.
Speaking about TOTL, the boss fights where quite fun there. Except for the first transformation. Altough Part 2 took me quite a while to beat, it's still uses some cool gameplay, like climbing on reflux and going ten feet up when Reflux punches on the ground.

Re: Rayman 3
Well, things can get slightly more easy and boring once you get a boss's attack patterns down. But it can still be fun. In my opinion, not including you're second fight with reflux in the TOTL.
Re: Rayman 3
I agree with you. Reflux in TDOTK is a great boss, but in TTOTL he becomes terribly boring because you just have to repeat the same things until you beat him. There is no variation, no moment of surprise, no nothing.Xenon wrote:I liked him in TDOTK, but in TTOTL the battles just became boring and repetitive. Plus his ugliness just grew and grew.
