Re: Rate that signature!
I wish Rayman had a costume, but I bet everyone who's played it has said that.

Re: Rate that signature!
You should definitely learn the differences between those formats, it makes it much easier to decide which one is best depending on the original pictureXenon wrote:In my opinion JPGs and GIFs bring the problems, PNGs are fine.
Re: Rate that signature!
I personally like PNG and JPG formats best, I wouldn't really ever touch a GIF file.
Anyhow, new signature. All smudging and a little displacement, and a lot of clipping masks. No C4D's used at all. Took me forever.

So...I'm guessing you like Halo?
Looks nice I give it.....9/10.

9/10!
Anyway what's the difference between JPG and GIF? How can the difference be spotted in the images? Whenever I save a file, JPG or GIF, there is always that horrible squarey effect around major shapes. I hate it.

Re: Rate that signature!
Well you wont get that blocky effect on JPG if you save them at the maximum resolution possible. But GIF's are limited to 256 colors per frame, also it supports animation.

Re: Rate that signature!
That's what I use GIFs for, animations.
Re: Rate that signature!
I don't touch em. Everything looks all crappy when its done. Better off saving the animations in a flash format.

Re: Rate that signature!
Meh, I don't have problems with them. I've made lots of animated GIFs.
Re: Rate that signature!
Same here, but they all suck. (The animations)
Re: Rate that signature!
So, are PNGs always a safe format to save files as? So far I haven't encountered any problems.
Re: Rate that signature!
Yeah, PNG's and JPG's are perfect choices if the image is not gonna be animated.
Re: Rate that signature!
I think I have had a few problems with JPGs. Wait, are JPGs and JPEGs one of the same?
Re: Rate that signature!
That extra P is suspicious.
