I only made the 3MC (unextended) combo work once but I didn't even combo the fourth Matuvu with anything. I think I was just so excited that I played safe and racked up all the gems on the rim without attempting to include the Matuvu. Does it need to be comboed in order to get 44000+ points?

Anyway, finished TSBTC ( ) with 110,260 which isn't a superb score, but what the heck? I'm not letting that loose.

Fairy Council: 42098
Clearleaf Forest: 109759
The Bog of Murk: 99999
The Land of the Livid Dead: 119599
The Desert of the Knaaren: 109359

The Longest Shortcut: 40980
The Summit Beyond the Clouds: 110260
Hoodlum Headquarters: 109109
The Tower of Leptys: 104499

My heart is really blooding now, but whatever: Congratulations for this great achievement! :P :teuf:
It's just cool you are second best player in the world now and you got 845.000
How many points did you had before the combo?
In order to reach 44.000 in FC, it's necessary comboing the matuvu (equal with 1 gem or 10 gems).
Aw, I think I'll finishing FC with 43.900, leave the extended version of the last combo be and playin' BOM to get 849.000 and lap you again ^______^

I have to say, well done! You got it right pretty fast, not like me playing for ages.

How did you get this score? Did you have 97.000+ before the big combo? Was it as big or small launch you got? Did you kickflip well?

I can see you are close to DTUCC now and then I'm next in line. :x I better take my precautions. Anyway, you got an awesome total score now. What will you play next?

@ mostwanted: Thanks! And I'm fearful of this Matuvu now. I may go for 10 items, but I doubt it, looks to me better to go for 1.

@ MandM: Thanks too! I used DTUCC's method in the end because I found the right spot to flip again (bloody hard to be positioned correctly though, that's the main problem) so I only made one flip in the connection. I got 4 for the first jump, 6 for the second, I think 6 for the third and 6 for the fourth. I remember looking at the combo counter after the combo and it read 4--, so I lost 200 points because I only had 97300 at the beginning :(

I think I'll play TFC now, because I want a good score. And I have a question for you: What did you do with the fourth Matuvu in part 3? I notice you got 44600. Does this mean you had ten items before taking him?

(More manual updating :P )

Ah yes, so you did. I forgot that. I may do the same, but we'll just have to see how the 3MC works. Depending on how confident I feel with the final combo and how frequently I can get the 3MC working, I'll choose whether or not to take 10 items. I mean, just imagine it. Xenon on 45000+ points in TFC: a score never seen before. First I have to endure part 1, with the famous Murfy speech lasting three or so minutes. I remember last time I played this part I switched channel everytime I had to restart and when three minutes past, I'd flick back. ^^

Good to be at 3, anyway.

Well, if you really can get all the Matuvus for their maximum value, then the road is open for 45.000+ points. There are a few challenges besides the Matuvus though.

However, an improvement of about 1.700 points would not be so bad?

Pfft, don't you try and lessen my chances of overtaking you! 1700 improvement is childsplay. I'll be going for a score that will give me 848000+ as a total. That's almost 44500.

How are you doing in TBOM? It's not the place I'd immediately look. Especially considering there's part 6, which happens to be my least favourite part in the entire game. You must really fancy your chances here!

Hmm, I see you’re riding high on the confidence from your recent victory. :) Well, the 1.700 or so points will take you further up the list in the HOF. It wasn’t meant as a restriction. I’d welcome another attempt to better my score in FC. It will be interesting to see how many points you get, also compared to Mostwanted.

I try to look into how I can make Razoff stay on the ball a little longer. So far no luck. I haven’t found any interesting positions where he can be hit more than usual.

I lost my score when I lost my game save to Rayman 3, I ought to play that game again and see how high I can accomplish. :)

It's a good idea. :)
Well, I played Rayman 3 again and I have to admit, it's going better now. Sometimes I miss the last Matuvu only on 1 millisecond, sometimes on 1 second, but I think I'll get the hang out of it now.

I have good news for you guys. As you probably know, I tried to contact a community manager from the UbiSoft forums several months ago about the Rayman 3 Hall of Fame. At first, the guy seemed totally OK with it, but he suddenly stopped replying, despite several reminders. So, I have decided to phone one of my contacts from the marketing department of UbiSoft, and she will transfer my request to the technical department. I should have an answer within the next week, and hopefully, we would be able to revive the Hall of Fame with the original algorithm.

It's an awesome achievement getting this algorithm from Ubisoft. It will be so cool to have a genuine HoF implemented on this site.

It would be better having a genuine one of our own, but either way this is great

Oh that's great news, but it will be even greater news once they contact you back and give you what you want. :)

I still don't understand Acarr's posts... I don't think it's possible to crack the algorithm by ourselves.

Definitely not, unless we can implement 999,999 self-made codes into the actual game.

It's certainly good news, anyway :)

It wouldn't give us the algorithm though. And it would take so long to explore a database table with a million entries...
